1Quest

Classic roguelike, easy to play, maybe not so easy to master. There are a few interesting differences from classic rogulikes.

I enjoyed certain aspects of this game: Gearing, abilities and level maneuvering. I killed the demon lord but not until he came after me. Here's why. At the end of the level there was a gate down a narrow hallway. I summoned and regened stamina to full. As soon as I opened the gate I was warped to the bottom of the room surrounded by enemies and my summons were gone. To try and recover I summoned my angel and then the enemy all shot and hit me killing me in one go. I was using conjuration and transmutation. The plan was simple. Get holy 3 to get angel, raise both transmutation and conjuration to build my summoner (conjuration 12 Transmutation 12 magic 12 int 12+) and knowing that summons were weak late game I planned on using angel to heal my summons and tank the mobs. This was tested and worked well. Though I suffered from exhaustion the cost was minor. Using incinerate to take out pesky enemies like the strong trolls and most other mobs hate fire. Id be ok with the teleport if I had a chance to do anything and if it had happened at any other time in the game. fun! easy to learn but takes a bit of thought to play!

Never quite reaches that "Man, this is awesome" vibe. But that's alright. I apparently enjoyed it.
