Had this game before it was taken off Steam Store, it's a BLAST. Lots of fun to be had running a pack of 4 through randomly generated dungeons full of traps, loot, and hordes upon hordes of enemies! As your warriors grow in power, they'll lay ruinous waste to foes that had previously been dungeon bosses as casually as wheat before the scythe! of particular note is how dangerous running too many wizards can be, if your winds come up ZERO you'll likely get jumped by mobs as well as not being able to cast any spells, and if that happens in a crucial moment, it could be game-ending, depending on your settings! or it could just ruin an otherwise solid dungeon run. Another favorite mechanic is the Inventory system, that allows you a certain number of equipment slots of each rarity, to be assembled at your discretion. this leads to times when you have to downgrade one type of equipment in order to satisfy another, which is a fun and interesting dilemma to engage with. However it also draws contrast between certain classes that have more or less items to find total, and more/less different types of items (IE the Troll slayer has arm bands and axes, exclusively, whereas the Witch Hunter h…

Warhammer Quest (Classic), developed by Rodeo Games and Twistplay and published by Chilled Mouse, is a digital adaptation that stays remarkably faithful to its tabletop roots. Rather than modernizing or reinterpreting the source material, it focuses on translating the original board game experience into a playable format, preserving its structure, pacing, and mechanics. This approach gives it a very specific appeal—one that will resonate strongly with fans of traditional dungeon crawlers and the Warhammer universe, while potentially feeling dated or repetitive to players expecting a more contemporary RPG experience. The gameplay is built around a straightforward but effective loop. You assemble a party of four adventurers, typically drawn from classic archetypes like the Barbarian, Wizard, Dwarf, and Elf, and send them into procedurally generated dungeons. Movement and combat unfold on a grid in a turn-based format, emphasizing careful positioning and resource management. Each action carries weight, and success often depends on planning ahead rather than reacting quickly. There’s a satisfying clarity to this system—every decision feels deliberate, and even simple encounters can be…

If you like hero quest, then this game is a warhammer skin and themed version of it. Clear a dungeon, loot and level your heroes. There is some decent strategy to be had with the different mix of hero types. Getting a good combo of a team for your play style is fun. I would recommend as a good easy dungeon crawl. Nothing to exciting but fun.

I got this because I wanted a way to play the original board game from 1995. I feel that is exactly what has been provided for the most part. You can tell that the people making this really cared about making it feel like playing the old board game and, as someone that never played it, that's what it feels like. I can't speak to its authenticity to the original but others seem to be quite happy with it in that regard. It's extremely simple, you're not getting XCom here, but it's in the Warhammer Universe and it plays very well. My only complaint is I wish we could see the dice roll details.

It is exactly as you would imagine based on the gap store pages videos and screenshots. It really delivers
