Build intricate, trap-laden fortress-Outposts to harvest genetic material and defend against raiders, then infiltrate others' creations in a high-stakes PvP heist where your defenses generate rewards from failed invaders. The game's standout blend of creative tower-defense building with action-packed raiding delivers asymmetrical multiplayer where your success depends equally on devious fortress design and surgical infiltration skills.
You are the Custodian of the Chimera, a living experiment created as a last resort to save life on Earth. Enter a battle of skill and wits for the only remaining resource that matters and the key to your Chimera’s evolution: pure genetic material. Mine the darkest corners of your imagination to build and fortify deadly fortresses known as Outposts to extract and guard your Genmat. Infiltrate and survive other players’ Outposts to steal more. Adapt, upgrade, and evolve… or die. 
The world’s deadliest toolbox is at your fingertips. Combine a huge array of blocks, traps and guards to build a fortress that’s devious, cunning, and utterly without mercy. Enjoy complete control over your creation, modifying traps and recording custom patrol paths for guards, then share your Outpost and watch others try to survive it. Reap rewards from those who die, learn from those who live, and never lose progress by being raided.
Put your will to the test raiding other players’ Outposts. Rely on your instinct, intellect, and reflexes in a do-or-die heist to steal the materials you need to fuel your next build. Choose the right loadout for each unique challenge, then get in, grab the Genmat and make it out alive mastering every Outpost that stands in your way. 
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Combine creativity and build with an ally or join forces to raid as a team of two. Use the replay system to watch Raiders challenge your Outposts. Meet Your Maker has an interesting premise centered on base-building and defense, but players consistently report frustration with core design choices like bases disappearing quickly, limited player interaction with defenses, and poorly-designed maps that devolve into frustrating killboxes rather than strategic encounters.
Very cool premise, and world-design marred by terrible dev choices on base-building. Essentially, your base only lasts a little while, making it really demoralizing to spend a hour or so trying to make something interesting/artistic only to have NO ONE play it over the course of a day or so, and it disappears... cool. /s I'm sorry, that's just wasting my time, especially for someone who mostly got the game while looking for more games in the vein of Orcs Must Die, where the entire game is defending your base. You sadly also do not get to actively participate in the defense portion, as far as I can tell. Many of the runs you do are ruined by maps that just feature a killbox where the entire room is basically constantly exploding. So, again, not really fun; just annoying. Then exacerbate that by starting with only having TWO ammo, and it gets old really fast. Like War Games: the only way to win is to not play the game.10 found this helpful

I liked this game a lot for the time that I played it but I tried to log in after a long period of inactivity and it keeps telling me my steam status is offline so now I can't play a product I paid for and played on this very same laptop. I can recommend for the gameplay but whatever they've updated that has locked me out of the game is unacceptable and on those grounds I give this a bad review.1 found this helpful

dead game that only works with an active community
A shame it never received the support it needed to stay alive for a good time, but on sale it's still good fun and if you have friends has a good co-op option. 6/10; Potential Man: The Game
