Evil Genius 2: World Domination

I can definitely see where this would get mixed reviews. It's great when it's all shiny and new, but when you get into the thick of it, the whole process gets TEDIOUS! Let me try and get a little more detailed on why that is. The most fun I had with the game was when designing a STUPIDLY LONG CORRIDOR of nothing but shark traps, but you don't get sharks until over 20 hours into your "Glorious Campaign". And somewhere 15 or more hours in, I figured out...you don't actually NEED the casino. No casino, no tourists, no problem, but that same casino door is still one of the entry points for invading investigators, so by forcing that into a funnel with a dozen traps, it can kill just about anybody. (Though that's the problem, when the story SPECIFICALLY needs you to CAPTURE those same agents, the hallway is TOO GOOD at killing them. But it did make the real life me laugh like an evil mastermind when watching disposable foes being forced into shark tank after shark tank, and eventually just plop and magically turn into body bags.) (Makes me like "This is so stupid, I love it" having that forced path of those walls directing them through all the shark tanks, since they can't break throug…

The best base-building game I have ever played in my entire life. Runs great, good graphics, meaningful objectives, voice acted dialogue, great progression system, unique features that make it stand out from similar games. Cool blend of core gameplay loops between the base and the world map. A couple bugs here and there, but nothing even close to game-breaking. And there's SO MUCH CONTENT. Probably the best city-builder type of game for someone that prefers a themepark experience to a sandbox one. This one gives you plenty of goals to work towards (but it's a great sandbox experience nonetheless). Worth every penny.

Love it. Everything great about the original plus some additions.

I snagged this game on sale so it was a bargain. I never played the original, but this is a fun base building game. It reminds me of the Dungeon Keeper series. It has a different theme, but a similar evil overlord building a dungeon to house their minions and do evil deeds sort of concept.
