About Perseverance: Part 3

🧟‍♀️🧟 DOUBLE TROUBLE - Play as Karen or Jack
🔪 TWO SIDES OF THE COIN - See the story from 2 vastly different perspectives
🔪 CHOICE PARALYSIS - Over 200 decisions to make. No pressure.
🔪 REAP WHAT YOU SOW - Every choice has its consequences. Will you be able to live with them?Perseverance: Part 3 is the latest and final episode of the drama/horror visual novel series where the only thing juicier than the gossip are the guts being spilled left and right. In Part 1 you play as Jack Cutter, a father who is struggling to keep his family together in the face of an otherworldly threat coming from the nearby military base. In Part 2 you control Karen, a calculated assassin on the hunt for a mysterious girl in the same remote town of Grey Ville. Finally, in Part 3 you will swap between both of the characters and help them form an unlikely alliance and face the overbearing danger as a team.

Together, they will help the remaining survivors escape from the zombie invasion brought upon them by a mad scientist. It won’t be easy though, in their way stand bloodthirsty monsters, hostile military personnel, the cruel local sheriff, and the hardest obstacle of them all - the demons of their pasts. How will their story end? That’s entirely up to you. Will you make the right choices?During your playthrough, you’ll have over 200 decisions to make and they will all influence how the plot progresses, so choose wisely. Will you help save humanity from the zombie outbreak or will you take the selfish path and save yourself and those dearest to you? No choice is a wrong choice but think through each and every step or you may just step off a cliff.

The Perseverance series draws from stories like “Night of the Living Dead”, “28 Days Later”, “Blindness”, “Revivals” and most of all – “The Walking Dead”. The main goal of the series is to show the drama of individuals in the face of terrifying events.

Normally, I'll finish a game even if I really don't like it. But I just hate this game too much to slog through it. My playtime seems long because I was playing it in Polish for practice, but it's not even worth it for the Polish lesson. There are lots of better games in Polish. I played Parts 1 and 2 and enjoyed them. Part 3 was just a monumental disappointment. First of all, I think the decision to essentially split this into two stories, one from Jack's POV and one from Karen's, was bad. Basically, instead of getting one polished story, we get two half-assed ones. And they seem to be practically the same anyway, so it's not even interesting to get the different perspectives. I would've preferred a story from Natalie's or Hope's perspective or something. Choices seem like an illusion. Most of the time it's just "the right option" or "death." When you die, go back to the title screen and start over again. Oh wow, cool, that's fun. They got rid of the sensible design choice they had in Part 2 where you could resume again from just before you died. Also, this game is bizarrely laggy at times, and for some reason, even though it has no voice acting and consists entirely of 2D art…

A few years ago, I bought the Part 1. I gave it a negative review. I said that it was a setting for story which then abruptly finished. It left me dumbfounded. But finally, I bought the Parts 2 and 3. It was the setting I liked, this was apparently the game similar to The Walking Dead which was no more developed. And I must confessed I liked the Parts 2 and 3. This was the first game where my choices mattered, and I went to the story branch according to my choices. I could choose _really_ what I wanted, and I was rewarded for that with the story development. So... buy it on discount. There is a bit of reading to do. I am not saying: "You must buy it". It is probably not for everyone... but some of those who like the genre will appreciate it.

This is a defective product, at least on my computer. 90% of the times the save doesnt work and instead crash the game. I got it for like less than 1€ at a sale and even that is probably too much. The series has always been pulpy zombie visual novels with kind of bad writing (partiallly due to jank translation) and ok-ish comic book art. And while the first was kind of mediocre (with one of the least likable protagonists ever), the second actually did show some promise, in a grindhouse VN kind of way. But this is unplayable. From the other reviews it doesn't look like I miss much.

Perseverance: Part 3, developed by Titanite Novels and Titanite Games S.A. and published by Feardemic, brings the trilogy to its dramatic conclusion with a narrative-driven horror experience that emphasizes difficult choices, emotional storytelling, and survival against overwhelming odds. Rather than focusing purely on zombie encounters, the game centers on the personal struggles of its two protagonists, Jack Cutter and Karen Stamp, whose separate journeys eventually intertwine as they fight to survive the chaos consuming Grey Ville. Their contrasting backgrounds and motivations provide fresh perspectives throughout the story, allowing the final chapter to feel larger in scope while delivering satisfying resolutions to long-running plotlines established in the previous entries. The strongest aspect of the game is its storytelling. Every chapter builds tension through a mixture of suspense, character development, and moral dilemmas instead of relying exclusively on violence or shocking moments. Jack's determination to protect his family contrasts well with Karen's attempts to confront the consequences of her troubled past, creating two emotionally engaging narratives that gradually…
