Would recommend if it didn't crash or had a menu or way to close the game without alt+f4. The visual style is classic Sokpop and the mechanics are simple and nice. I couldn't get far enough to see if there was much depth though.

Very lightweight game, I've played it on the deck, and although some features are lacking, I managed to play it just fine. It doesn't have too much substance to it, but since I got it from their patreon, i can't complain too much

other reviews have already said what i want to say for the most part. however, while i understand that minimalism in ui design seems to be one of sokpop's design goals, this has so little of that plus so much... underexplaining, i guess, i ended up confused by concepts that are probably very basic in other rts games. for example, it seems like you can't build buildings after a certain island capacity has been reached, but the way the game communicates this is all the building buttons become unclickable and no longer have hovertext. this is indistinguishble from a ui glitch, especially when the game has several actual glitches as well. also, if there's a way to automate ship tasks i never figured it out, but this kind of game really needs that feature front and center. otherwise i'm not sure what you're supposed to do when you have so many ships. manually sending trade ships between islands is a chore.

I do not recommend this game. It's impossible for me to end a game, it crashes all the times i tried.

I'm a fan of the sokpop games, and I go into them expecting them to be a bit light on interactions and instructions, but this game is a big step down from most of their work. To start, it's literally broken. I've won the game four times now, and it's crashed on completion every single time. A few times it's crashed just in the middle of the playthrough at random. And worse than that, it's just kind of messy. Having any significant number of ships immediately becomes super unwieldy, with no good UI to select ships or their destinations and you end up having a stack of identical ships in identical positions, waiting for them to move so you can select the next ship that hopefully has the resources properly loaded/unloaded. It's a neat idea, and it has the cute visuals as always, but it just really doesn't stick the landing.
