SpaceSlog

The first time ever that a game has lost me at character/crew generation. There are almost no options. Reroll does not work on captain, and despite what author replied to one of the other reviews, captain's stats are absolutely arbitrary and in no way depend on previous selections. At the very least effect is so minor that it is unnoticeable. This makes the "captain" who is supposed to be the main pawn have random/ arbitrary stats, just be harder to reroll. And yeah, skills. Some skills are arbitrarely locked out for some pawns. Aka Rimworld. But at least Rimworld had some explanation as to why. Traits/backgrounds and such. This game doesn't. Graphics. Level of their own, really. The game describes pawns as humans. Seriously, replace "humans" in there with orcs or goblins, and the pawn art would become be acceptable. Tutorial is annoying. It describes several optins to do something but only one is ever acceptable to proceed. I was always waiting for it to hang at some point. Maybe this game would be worth checking out after another year or so in development, but not now. Now it's a waste of time.

Awesome gameplay

Great game with a lot, lot of potential! SpaceSlog is awesome!!! Very much recommend supporting the developer of SpaceSlog Produno who is a known entity and is fully committed to the continued development of SpaceSlog. Produno has done absolutely great and legenadry work in the modding community including A Word of Ice and Fire (AWOIAF) mod! Produno is a living legend! There is a lot of gameplay and content in SpaceSlog as it is and I see it only getting better in the future! Produno is also highly responsive feedback and is very committed to making SpaceSlog significantly better through continuously adding more and more content while listening to player feedback and implementing positive changes based on feedback!

A promising attempt to cross Starship Theory with Rimworld, but it is at a level of a technical demo. Tedious, poorly explained, counter intuitive, tutorial railroads you too much. Issues: - Characters: a single scratch appears to bleed indefinetely; Depending on a start, yours is a single character on the map with a private bedroom yet apparently character lacks privacy; Food/water/sleep stats drain extremely fast. - Ships: rosources get consumed even when they are not needed (generator's power and LS do not get throttled); Nothing warns you about heat buildup beforehand; No 'move' option for furniture etc - Tutorial: as an example it wants you to place external storage, character immediately unloads ship and you can't prevent that despite needing things like water and food in the ship. But the only thing tutorial lets you do is to mark asteroids in a specific way. - Long range travel: nothing happens for a long while. There is a complete lack of control over movement or destination. When you do get a location to 'drop' at you get no information of what to really expect beyound 'probably rocks' and whether there is a sun or not - Environment is boring. I very much recommend SpaceSlog. Like playing RimWorld in space and on steroids. Game rocks! Super looking forward to what Produno has envisioned for the future of SpaceSlog! Great game, worth every penny!!!

You can tell that Produno has put a lot of work and heart into SpaceSlog. Very good game the way it is right now! You can see that SpaceSlog is getting regularly updated. Should be even better in the future. There is a lot of content to explore in the game as it is right now. I can only imagine how good SpaceSlog will be after even more updates! I like SpaceSlog's graphics a lot more than Rimworld. SpaceSlog's graphics pop and I like the attention to detail. Beautiful game. Highly recommend SpaceSlog, well worth the money.
