Urban Cards

This game is great. I’m a huge fan of GWENT and honestly spent an embarrassing amount of time in The Witcher 3 just playing Gwent, so deckbuilders and card battlers already have a special place in my heart, and this game absolutely scratched that itch for me. What I loved about this game is that it actually feels different from many other deckbuilders. The whole capitalism/economic warfare theme is really fun. The difficulty is pretty good so far. It definitely ramps up, and I lost a couple of times. Even after losing, I still felt like I could eventually figure it out if I kept playing, but I haven’t completed the game yet, so I don’t know for sure. The music and art style are also genuinely great. Everything has a lot of personality, from the card art to the sound effects, and it makes the whole experience feel satisfying to play. If you enjoy games like GWENT, Slay the Spire, or strategy card games in general, I honestly think this is worth checking out. I had a really good time with it, and I can easily see myself putting way more hours into it.

Game is a hidden gem and a certified banger of a roguelike card game. I'd recommend it to anyone that enjoys the genre.

Started playing just to test it a bit and suddenly 2 hours were gone lol Really fun card game, easy to understand but still feels strategic once you start learning the factions and combos. Matches are fast and satisfying Also kinda addictive ngl “Just one more match” happened way too many times already

The core idea feels genuinely fresh. I usually spend most of my time in Hearthstone and GWENT, so I’ve played more than my fair share of deckbuilders, but Urban Cards still managed to feel like something I hadn’t really seen before. It’s familiar on the surface, sure, but the way the systems and synergies come together gives it its own identity. From a balance perspective, I haven’t put a huge number of hours into it yet, but based on my experience so far it sits in a pretty solid spot. It’s not overly easy, but it’s not punishing either. There’s a clear sense of challenge, and more importantly, it’s the kind of challenge that feels engaging rather than frustrating. I did notice some people mentioning “too much RNG” in other reviews and honestly - it’s a card game, so RNG is just part of the genre. The real question is how well you can adapt to it and in my runs it always felt like I still had enough control to make meaningful decisions. Of course, not every start was perfect and there were runs where it felt like I was behind from the beginning but that’s just how card games work, it’s normal and expected. What really stood out to me is how polished the game feels moment-to-mom…

Really addictive game. I planned to try it for a short time and somehow ended up playing for more than 4 hours. The mechanics are fun, matches feel engaging, and the progression systems give you enough variety to keep experimenting with different strategies. Easy recommendation if you enjoy deckbuilders or strategy card games.
