Été \ is a relaxing painting game made for people who love exploration and creativity. Step into the shoes of a budding painter who travels abroad to Montreal for a summer. Unleash color with your paintbrush to freely explore the city and capture its everyday wonders on canvas. Befriend locals by fulfilling their inspiring commissions or prepare an original expo in your very own art studio.

Everything you discover while exploring — from flowers to birds — is added to your album, an ever-growing compendium of stamps that you can then mix and match in your artworks.
Create gorgeous 2D watercolor artworks effortlessly with Été's unique canvas system. Any stamp collected in your album can be added to your composition, moved, resized, recolored, and even spun around in 3D!
Some NPCs will commission you with inspiring requests for specific artworks, but you're also free to paint as many unrestricted creative artworks as you like. Those artworks can then be hung on your walls or auctioned at the local café... and maybe, if you get famous enough, be exhibited in your very own exposition.
Build your ideal creative nook by collecting furniture and arranging it your way with Été's flexible decoration system. Decorations can be placed precisely where you want them, combined into complex set pieces, and even recolored!

So, the only way I know to recommend this one is to say that I started the game up to take a quick look before moving onto the other game I had in process. Many hours later, I'm still playing this one...
I love this game in theory. It's the kind of mellow, arty game I absolutely adore. But this game is bugged to an unacceptable degree a year plus after release. You are a painter whose moved into a cheap apartment in Montreal. You will be navigating the city -- but get this -- its a black and white version of the town and you have to paint it in. As you color in the city districts, you get stamps that you can turn into bespoke artwork that you will use to put on an exhibition. You can sell your doodles, but its faster to do quests where you take artwork commissions. The clients want specific things and if you deliver, you can get a good chunk of change, which you'll need to pay for the exhibition gallery. Unfortunately, as beautiful as the game looks and as soothing as the game play is when it works, it bugs out way to much. Zones take too long to load and the game will frequently crash. Early in the game, I almost quit after the game started crashing on one particular area of the city. I got it to stop crashing by dropping the graphics quality but I dreaded going into this area because the load times (already too long) took twice as long to load as everywhere else and kept pl…

The simple act of creating art in this game is so incredibly satisfying that I almost didn't want to progress with the story itself and interact with NPCs. I just wanted to paint! If that isn't an authentic artist experience, I dont know what it.
