Play as one of six supernatural Monstrum, each wielding unique gifts like wall-scaling and object detection, to protect the city of Balduq from creatures emerging from the shadowy Grimwald Nox. Blend familiar action RPG combat with Flash Dodge and Guard mechanics alongside fresh additions like Gifts and Boost Mode to uncover the truth behind your curse and the city's dark secrets.
The World Within the Walls: Explore the massive city, accept quests to aid the townsfolk, and enter the Grimwald Nox to vanquish the threats to Balduq.
Strength of the Night: Familiar mechanics such as Flash Dodge and Flash Guard allow you to outmaneuver your foes, while new additions such as Gifts and Boost Mode further augment your ability to fight.

Renowned adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin and his companion Dogi arrive at Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire, only for Adol to be detained before setting foot inside. While imprisoned, he meets a mysterious woman named Aprilis who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural Gifts and the power to exorcise monsters. Now, Adol must ally with his fellow Monstrum to fend off the fearsome threats emerging from a shadowy dimension called the Grimwald Nox, as well as unravel the mysteries of the Monstrum curse, and the truth behind the unrest within Balduq.

If youre a fan of YS series buy it. Its fantastic game though not as great the story compare to ys 8 still its a amazing game with beauitiful graphics and addictive gameplay. Voice acting is top notch. The OST are the best!!! Tight controls and satisfying action And the most important part is Yufa(Raging bull) humongous tits. 10/10 LESSGOOOOOOO YS5 found this helpful
Good and fun game. If you are coming from YS 8 you will be right at home. Unfortunately, raids are back, with different name but similar format, lots of mechanics from 8 are back actually. The new part is that you and your characters have like a superhero secret identity with special powers. Story wise, very anime as usual, but it a good way I guess, world ending event that you have to fight. Slightly shorter than 8 I think. What I didn't like is how buggy your companions become while exploring, they keep getting stuck trying to climb up a wall, or keep jumping into a cliff. Visually might feel outdated considering this game came out on 2019, but that is a personal take, Totally recommended IF you like anime cliches, you don't mind visuals AND, of course, you like ARPGs.1 found this helpful

The French are alright
Unpopular opinion but I think this game is slightly better than Ys VIII, better supporting cast, slightly better combat and raid battles, the story is more character driven and I like that they reference Adol's past adventures. Overall experience: pretty memorable. If you played Ys VIII you will likely enjoy this one aswell.
