About Her Lie I Tried To Believe - Extended Edition
Description
For Tim, the matter of when or how it all began couldn’t be more superficial. For all he knows, he has always hated her. Cassandra. A girl who constantly seems to be one step ahead of him. The reminder of his weaknesses. A girl that beat him at running. From elementary school all the way to high school, what first started as a juvenile form of payback disguised as a unilateral rivalry soon derailed into a full-blown obsession that consumed every moment of Tim’s life. In fact, only when she unexpectedly quit high school did he realize how far gone he has always been. His raison d'être—the target of his loathing—had disappeared, and his motivation with it. Still, the world kept on spinning. Tim finished high school, went to university, made a friend, and forgot all about her. An overall happy ending.
Or was it?
What would happen if, after all those years, he met her again? Would love unlikely blossoms? Or would something far darker reawake...?

Well I played a bit into this and I can't take it already (I'm at the initial "hotel" scene). This guy has a problem, a major problem. He needs a damn shrink, and it's obvious it's going to end badly. He's missed all the obvious hints, he takes everything badly, and frankly playing what seems VERY likely to become an abuser makes my heart ache. I'm not saying it's a bad game, and I'm not requesting a refund, but I think there needs to be some kind of warning. This isn't a love story. Far from it.5 found this helpful
This is not worth buying if you just want to experience this story. The new endings don't compare to the original ending from Her Lie I Tried To Believe, which is still included in this version. But then you're just better off playing the free original version then. You can read my review about about the original game by clicking on this sentence. The new UI, menus, CG's and endings aren't bad, but they don't add too much to the game. It's very stange to see the game randomly switching artstyle between sprites and different CG's. The "True Ending" is... uhh... it tells an interesting story that gives some backstory to the characters and a happier conclusion. But it does feel that it was forced into the story, and it kinda ruins some characters motivations and plot points of the original story. The other endings are just bad routes that kinda end abruptly, so yeah, they don't mean much. That being said, it's still a decent VN, even though it has very cr…2 found this helpful
I love the story line, thank you for making a true ending here. It was beautifully crafted! It impacts a lot my emotion. It keeps me begging for more story though sadly it has to come to an end. I love this game, thank you so much developer!1 found this helpful
Awesome game. I actually played the original visual novel back in 2020 but only found time for this one now (I hate med school). The true ending is cruel but also cute. I liked the lies a lot. Please buy it and make this creator proud so I can have a sequel.
This is a great extension of the original game. The true ending adds soo much context and background to the relationship of the main characters. The final sequence is also very riveting and it was a joy to read. I can't imagine the game without it now and I am very glad the extended edition was made.
Almost bailed on this story early, but now glad I stuck around. MC's perspective can be rough to read through, but everything builds to a few interesting endings. Cassandra is a must-read VN heroine.
