Loco Motive

This game gave me strong Humongous Entertainment vibes, and I’m so here for it. The puzzles and solutions might have been pretty wacky, but if you spent hours playing Freddi Fish and Spy Fox as a kid like I did, I think you’ll feel right at home in this world! I loved the characters and the voice acting, and this game was clearly built with a lot of love. Would highly recommend! Also, this worked very well on my Steam Deck :)

It was whimsical and felt like a real old-school point-and-click. It does however have some flaws: The inventory keeps closing after combining wrong items, pressing “I” helped. The hint machine could not provide a solution to catching the mouse. Soft-locked after I spiced the soup and talked to the chef in Fullscreen mode.

Loco Motive is a point-and-click game done right. The murder on the Orient express vibes are very relevant throughout the game, and the game seems to blend critical thinking and witty humor together in a nice Mish mash that I can safely say is one of my most favorite games I’ve played this year. This game sat on my wish list for quite a while while it was in development, and I can tell it was made with love and care. I’ve been really impressed with the two hours. I’ve been playing so far. The gameplay is very immersive, it does have a lot of things right, even the music is pretty witty and catchy. I can’t wait to see how it The Good (+) Immersion. I actually feel like I’m on a murder mystery on a train. (+) Engaging characters. Every character with dialogue is fully voiced and feels like a part of the story, even if they aren’t a suspect. (+) The player character can run, big plus if you’re trying to get from one end of the train to the other. (+) The tutorial on how to play. The game is very engaging, supportive, and gives really good guidance on what you’re supposed to be doing (+) Some of the early puzzles are really clever. Easily one of the best modern point and click adventure games I've ever played, with a great series of enjoyable puzzles and even a well designed built in hint system. If you were a fan of the heyday of LucasArts, this game feels like it could've come right out of that period. Highly recommend.

Murder in Orient Express meets Monkey Island Cosy crime solving puzzler with a classic setting of funny weirdos and overlapping agendas. In case one gets stuck, there's even an internal telephone helpline with hints. For fans of a bit of puzzling, extraordinary mice, trains and hand fetishists!
