Please follow United Critics for quality reviews
Mortal Rite

Introduction
Mortal Rite is a 3d action adventure game still in development. Some things may change in the future, so please keep that in mind. It hints at a larger game in the future. Unlike most games of this era, which apply a souls-like approach to everything, Mortal Rite takes a different path, meaning no bonfires, no soul loss upon death, and no standard character level-ups. Instead, you have actual levels, similar to missions in Nioh, a single respawn point per level (they are kinda short), unlockable abilities, and equipable artifacts that change your attributes or give special effects like lifesteal. Currently, there are 6 levels in the game.
Story
As I mentioned in the introduction, the story is mostly hinted at rather than being completely available. You awake as an initiate in Alden’s tower. He says the ritual is complete, and you are now part of the guild. You are then given the choice of embodying one of his champions and told to explore the gates for artifacts as he prepar…

Very good game from a small developer. Really like the enemies and the scenarios. The phases could be longer, with less than 6 hours is possible to finish the entire game. 7,5/10

Not a big game, but a really fun and interesting one, especially if you're looking for a soulslike coop. The scenary is very well done and so are the enemies. The phases could be a little longer but it's very fun all the same. 8/10 just because some small bugs harm the coop gameplay.

This game is BUNS, retarded enemy placements while all being tanky while ALSO dealing little damage, the game literally doesnt tell you how to spend your skill points, if its in a safezone or something i never got to it after 30 minutes. Even the way these enemies work is annoying as ♥♥♥♥, yes lets give the archers a retarded amount of mobility. thank you now i need to chase these dudes down for 20 minutes -_-

Fun combat and versatile characters. A bit heavy or maybe unstable on the graphics side.

Slightly Dark Souls with a Jump button, Linear story section, roguelite section, and a grappling hook! Grapplsouls is trying to do something new within a genre that is getting a bit bloated if you ask me. The overall tone is dark but not quite as dark as the soulsbourne series gets and the visual scheme of the game is a toss up between a traditional DS game and fortnite. The story is passable but sometimes the old man sounds like he's tired of reading his cue cards, I'm not sure if they should do more or less the narrative like a traditional souls game and just focus primarily on the combat side of things because that's where this game really shines. The combat is solid and feels fluid, I played as Shold mostly because of the HP regen passive ability. exploration is fun but Warning, this is Early Access so you may just go for a walk on the moon if you try searching every nook and cranny. Be warned, you may lose progress or experience bugs, the game literally tells you that on the first screen because that's the nature of early access, this is access to a game in the "early" sense. This game is planned to be in development till probably 2026 at the earliest so I'll go ahead and …
