✦ AI summary

33 Immortals is a well-designed roguelike with strong multiplayer co-op mechanics and excellent art inspired by Hades, but it suffers from a declining player base that makes it difficult to complete runs without a full team, with reviewers noting the game required playing during its initial hype period to experience it fully. Players praise the teamwork-focused gameplay, varied weapon customization, and challenging boss designs, while complaining about repetitive map layouts, limited build diversity on harder difficulties, and poor communication tools for coordination.

6/10 Fun for the first 2 hours until the combat gets brain-dead and the mindless grind kicks in. Good luck finding enough players to fill a lobby anyway.

Fun game with friend but the concept that you absolutely need 33, 22, 11 players (depends on which stage) to have some chance of winning in a game with the same grind and fight loop and no future on adding content killed the game. devs had something great with no future and killed it themselves. unfortunate. Otherwise it would be a strong recommend from me.

Currently at 32/33 achievements I really regret buying this. Ok idea on paper, but the game is filled with grindy mechanics. And when the biggest grind of an already grindy game is just finding a match with 5 or more players so you can get a full run, it's time to let the game just die off. In 100 hour play time, I've only seen ONE lobby with a player count over 25. Music is great, controller implementation is "meh ok" at best, the art style wishes it was Hades, the enemy and boss design is great, and not letting players turn off tutorials that cover 25-30% of the screen certainly is a design decision of all time. Avoid and let the game die

Really fun and ennjoyabble exxperience but unfortunately the game is dead and there seems to be no future updates from now on. The relic system in the beta was good but it changed and blindsided most of the playerbase on full release. The relic system should have received more attention and the Ordeals could have been tuned a little lower as well as they were generally a harsh handicap. Other than that the gameplay loop was overall fun and the concept was great. Simple MMO style rouge-lite witth mostly straightforward builds. Would love to give this game another try if the devs possibly balance towards smaller lobbies or add bots.

This game really scratches the itch in my brain that loves game progression. The unlocks give you a goal other than just beating every stage. As others have mentioned, the biggest issue is the general lack of players. It sucks when there's only 4 or 5 people in the instance, and you know you can't beat the boss with so few. I can't speak for the other 2 stages or other servers, but the first one on the Central server I've had decent luck with, even early in the morning. It's currently in a bundle on Humble, so hopefully that raises the player count, even if it's just temporary. It is also a bit concerning that the last update was 2 months ago, despite the 1.0 release only being 4 months ago. Edit: Realized there another patch in September, and not just in August. This was a small patch for fixes and wasn't in the announcements, so I missed it.
