The game puts you under constant pressure, forcing you to clear violent enemy waves before your HP or TIME runs out. The moment-to-moment action requires you to shoot to build up your hit chance, execute precision criticals, and time your Astral Shifts to slow down incoming attacks when things get chaotic. Even though you are limited to three equipped mods, the way they chain them together to create automated combo loops turns you into an absolute powerhouse. You invest your bounty credits back into stats, which lets you draft better mods, leading to longer chains and higher scores. Overall its a great experience. Building these insane combo engines is incredibly satisfying and its a blast playing.5 found this helpful
This game is a vibe. Classic cyberpunk aesthetics from the art to the combat to the UI, a great soundtrack, and an intriguing story that pays homage to classics like Ghost in the Shell and Akira. Combat is unique and roguelike elements add variety to each wave within each combat. It's extremely satisfying to set up a build that combos and destroy waves of enemies. Make sure to take advantage of the discounts in the shop when upgrading your stats to get stronger more quickly, it helps for re-running bounties. Kleopatra is a cool story to be sucked into, I've become attached to the characters and am really enjoying uncovering the lore of the world5 found this helpful
Finally, something original! So many recent games, even good ones, feel like rehashes of the same worlds, stories, and combat. Kleopatra delivers something new on all fronts. Even just in the first few minutes, you get drawn into a world that feels original and lived in. The influences are clear, but it manages to carve its own path. Same goes for the story — it keeps you intrigued and is clearly a focal point, but never seems to interrupt the gameplay for too long (great pacing). The combat is addictive and strikes that perfect balance of easy to learn, difficult to master. TL;DR - you’ll get lost in this game’s world, story, and combat in the best way possible. Refreshing to play something that feels completely new, but also so well done.4 found this helpful
