I recommend the game but i really dislike it due to many reasons. Sprawling maps with lots of items hidden around but not open enough to give a sense of freedom so finding all the items and getting around is just tedious. Some gaps you can jump and some elevations you can climb but the distinction between which you can and can't aren't always very clear. Hidden easily missable objectives for a hidden ending. Talking to "doors" instead of npcs, while it does spare the devs from developing models it just feels bad for the player. A journal that is written like a journal instead of clear quest objectives. And many more things that just makes the game feel like something from a gaming age long gone that really should be forgotten. At least that is how i feel about it.1 found this helpful
10/10 Phenomenal story, voice acting, combat, and environments! I highly recommend this!
Beautiful game - play it! Captures the soul of dark souls 1 twisting path exploration - I want to find EVERYTHING. Combat is challenging and most playstyles are viable. Performance is excellent - 144 avg, 141 1% low All dialogue and cutscenes can be skipped quickly. The sound is not directional, so you cannot rely on sound to identify _where_ enemies are.
The first half of the game is mediocre, but it does get better near the end. It's not a hard game either, the developers just went out of their way to make things tedious so it would feel more difficult. It's honestly more of an action adventure game than a soulslike. Overall I would give it about a 6/10. It's fine if you can get it on sale for a cheap price, but if you are looking for an indie soulslike game then I think there are many better games out there.
I like hard games but here after 10 hours I don't like the gameplay, I don't like the art, I don't like the level design, I don't like the music, I don't like the writing and I don't like the main character. It's definitely not for me. It's not boring imo, it's totally alien.
A nice game, i think a bit underrated. Also well optimized.
