Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown

This game is very short and feels like a demo. There is a base game with little to no substance as you can only play as one turtle at a time, levels are super repetitive, and character customization is limited and is not even part of the campaign. Essentially a strategy game with no strategizing elements which makes it incredibly boring. I really wanted xcom with turtles but it's more like playing checkers with turtle skins.

A really charming and enjoyable tactical turn-based game, this one. TMNT games rarely ever miss. There are 20 levels that you play through, but only as one turtle at a time. Sadly, there's no scenario in which you can play all four turtle brothers at the same time, but the movesets of each turtle are unique and varied enough that each level feels pretty fresh and you can vary your combat strategy. Even though each level also has a 'remix' version, which is essentially just a higher difficulty version, the 20 levels are very short. I would've loved to play a bunch more levels with multiple turtles, more movesets, and even more varied win conditions. I enjoyed it so much I would easily be sold on some DLC. Ultimately, the game only takes several hours to complete. Overall, it's a really enjoyable game, it's just quite simple, very brief, and has lots of room to have done a lot more. It feels more like a proof of concept game, so hopefully there's more to come. It's hard to fault it though when it was just really fun to play. Definitely worth a play for TMNT fans, but be aware the story is VERY bare bones.

Really not for me. Only having one controllable character feels like it loses the best elements of this top down tactical format. The levels are extremely repetitive and starts to feel like a never ending swarm of weak enemies that aren't interesting to deal with.

Gonna rock, and roll this place. With the power of the Ninja Turtle bass. I LOVE BEING A TURTLE! Great time killer, fun levels. Easy to learn and fun to master. If you are a TMNT fan, you'll love it, too....
