In Windreach, in a small apartment top floor, lived Finn and Gray, my favorite couple. Life is simple, perhaps a bit ordinary, and that is good. Finn opens a sweets shop, and Gray is a truck driver. They don't have much, but luckily there is always food on the table. No matter what happens, they got each other.

On the occasion of my work being published, please allow me to introduce myself.My name is Griffin Cyan, the author of this game. My avatar resembles me in real life.
The story of Omurice Next Time is deeply personal. The inspiration was drawn from my day-to-day life. I am more like Finn, and my boyfriend Garrett is basically Gray. It is a love letter, a memoir, and a vision.
There is always beauty in ordinary life. Love is long and lasting, kind of like mochi in soup.
To you, my dear readers, I sincerely hope you can find joy, peace, and strength in it.

And boy oh boy do we have an absolutely wholesome gay story right here. This is a story about love and domestic life. Instead of flirting and chasing romance routes, the couple is already together. You get to experience small parts of their life, seeing how much these two guys care about each other. Simple things, like cooking together, talking about the future and enjoying small everyday moments with friends (and curious animals). Its honestly really cute. Its a short, simple and calm experience. Kind of comforting, actually. If that sounds like your thing, youll probably enjoy this one. [b]Steam deck note:[/b] I couldnt get it to run properly on the Steam Deck for some reason. The cursor wouldnt click or drag things (and you'll need to for achievements). Sweet little "A year in the life of..." storybook game about the lives of husbands and their friends, with the occasional little optional mini games thrown into one of the panels and information about seasonal cuisines.
Excellent story telling and calming game play.
Omurice Next Time is a cute game that delves into the everyday lives of a queer couple. I would recommend it if you're looking for a short wholesome story (with, admittedly, a few odd moments). I thought the music fit the game's atmosphere perfectly.
