DNF. Unfortunately, this game didn't quite do it for me. As others have said, the beginning is slow. The LIs don't show interest until chapter 8, and you don't choose a route until 9. The chapters feel superfluous, because there's little compelling going on. We learn early on the personality traits of the LIs, so I'm not sure why we needed 8 chapters to show all the cooking and chef related activities they're doing. The relationships with the LIs don't evolve: The LIs are just friends with the MC and then suddenly at chapter 8 they're all into the MC. Further, the choices you make in the previous chapters determine who you can choose in chapter 9 and there's no rewind, which is a bummer because the first 8 chapters drag. So if you want to go back and make different choices to get a different LI you have to start at the beginning. You can skip text and go just to the choices, but I found the skip function annoying and jarring, and there's a "are you sure you want to skip?" box that pops up every time you click it. One last small issue is that this is a game about a chef high school there is almost no drawings or images of any of the meals people are eating or making. I'm not sur…

guys im an idiot i thought culinary academy meant college. not the game's fault, i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that up lol. not my cup of tea but that is my bad so it wouldn't be fair to give the game a thumbs down for that, especially since the game seems well-made. fifteen year old me would love this i think.

Tyler and Leo my beloved's, I will miss you two <3 The game is pretty good overall I would say. The interactions with MC and the LIs are pretty wholesome and sweet. There were a few things I didn't quite like, but that's all my personal taste coupled with my own like pet peeves from past experiences. I would say in general if you want a sweet and funny game to pass the time with, this is defos it. There were also sometimes (in Tyler's and Leo's routes) that my blood was really pumping and I was leaned into the monitor, sitting on the edge of my chair wondering what was going to happen. Additionally, the dishes and desserts and all the food related stuff(?) mentioned are also quite interesting! They made me so curious, I wished I could like pause the game and go try them for myself somewhere.

Honestly, I feel like my hours on this game alone can vouch for how much I absolutely adore Sifting Thyme. The story, the artwork, the music, and the characters are all so well done and it all brings the world of Sifting Thyme to life. I've played through all four routes and there were none that I truly disliked. Each path has it's own charm to it and all of them are worth playing. My personal favorite was Geoffrey's route, but I can say that I enjoyed the other three routes as well! If you're looking for a cozy otome game with a bit of high school drama, Sifting Thyme is the game for you!
