An incredibly heartwarming little adventure suitable for lifelong Holmes fans and people new to his stories alike. Whilst you might get more out of the little references if you know the stories and canon, nothing relies on you knowing much more than "Sherlock is a detective, Watson is his biographer". The game has lovely music, and such a gorgeous visual style; it will really appeal people who are fans of the adventure games this has been created in the tradition of. The writing is stellar. It really captures the voices of the characters, and makes for such believable small-town drama and interpersonal interest. I feel like I could have walked around the village for hours more, solving little disputes and mysteries with the Falworth Peculiars. This is to say nothing of the delightfully sweet dynamic between Holmes and Watson, and how it spins out through small interactions and discussions. This game delivers on everything you expect it to, and more. My only complaint is that the audio mixing is sometimes a little off -- it can be hard to hear the characters over the background noise at points, which is tragic, because the voice acting is gorgeous! By no means does this make it…

Very sweet and easy to play. Great voice acting. I hope the game gets a sequel. I fell for the village and would love to play in the world more and discover local mysteries while trying to picnic.

A short and sweet game. It's pretty much exactly what it advertises itself as: a very low stakes, character focused story in a charming little setting. The gameplay is fairly simple and inspired by classic adventure games, but avoided frustrations I've had with similar mechanics. My favourite parts were the occasional stylistic close ups, the way Sherlock and Watson's relationship was written, and that you could have your dog following you around the entire game (10/10 feature, massively boosted my enjoyment).

So, I don’t have much experience when it comes to point and click adventure games. I’ve played a few like a couple of the Detective Grimoire games but that’s about as far as my experience with the genre went prior to playing this. My interest in this game had more to do with its Sherlock Holmes connection as I hadn’t come across many pieces of media that focused on Holmes after his retirement so I found the concept interesting. As a result, I was more interested in the story and character beats than the gameplay, though I can’t say I had any real issues with the latter. From what I could tell, it was fairly standard for these types of games just moving around areas, talking to people and picking up the items followed by using a combination of the information and items you have to solve puzzles. Nothing terribly innovative but I found the actual puzzles fairly well put together; there was no point where I was completely stumped and none of the puzzles had completely asinine solutions like I’ve heard some other games in this genre can have. Frankly, the only gameplay issue I had was Holmes sometimes getting stuck when trying to leave an area for a bit, but this could always be solv…

I love this game so much! I waited for a long time while it was in development and bought it as soon as it came out, it's so amazing.

A very sweet wee point-and-click adventure with a lot of fun bonus dialogue if you like to click every option possible, and some truly stellar voice acting. Got me tearing up with the ending <3
