Jupiter Hell Classic

As someone that has been playing since DoomRL was in it's early stages, I was ecstatic to see this come out, and after the last couple patches, I can say this broadly meets or exceeds that game in pretty much every area. There's a ton of content- enemies, weapons, special levels, traits, consumables; all sorts of stuff. While there's some stuff I miss from the original, if I could only have one of the two, I'd rather have this game. And it's still got updates in the pipeline! And you don't have to choose anyways, because there's a DoomRL mod! Buy this game, it's a fantastic labour of love, built for the fans. In an era of lousy cash grabs, nostalgia bait and companies and developers who betray their own audience this game restores a lot of my faith in the industry. Cheers to an awesome developer and others like him, thanks for the awesome game!

This game is awesome. I love roguelikes and this is my favourite. If you like playing as a Marine send by PMC to some god forsaken base, stuck on some planet in our Solar System, that by the way, was a site for who knows what kind of blasphemous experiment gone wrong,(hi-tech or diabolical...), than this game is for you. It has great mechanics, good vibes / immersion, and you can have tons of fun playing it for many many hours. The coolest thing is the developer and the community. The developer is super kind person that listens to players feedback and you will always find him in the mood to chat about the game and help you out if you have and questions. Same is with community members in discord. They welcomed me with open arms, helped me in creating a mod for this game, and just nice people to hang around and talk about the game or whatever. All in all, this game is made with love and care and it shows. PS: Did I mention that you have great mods to pick from, one of them is complete overhaul of the game that sets you in the universe of famous demon slayer...!? Rip and tear Marines!

Even as an Early Access game, Jupiter Hell Classic is worth buying for the DRL (Doom Rogue Like) mode alone. In addition, Epyon continues to ardently revisit and rethink Jupiter Hell, making it feel and look like an even more traditional roguelike. The man has all my respect for his deeds: he still updates Jupiter Hell, even though it has been years since its release. That's the spirit, and that is where we should put our spare bucks.
