About Jupiter Hell

Do you miss the good old days when games weren't holding your hand? Then you're in the perfect place. In Jupiter Hell - Action follows your every move. When you act, your enemies act. But when you die. You die for good.Jupiter Hell lets you become a hero in a classic 90s-flavored sci-fi universe. It's you and your trusty shotgun (or chaingun, railgun or even a chainsaw) against hordes of demonic and alien motherfu***. All to the shine of CRT monitors. Just like in the good old days. But the graphics are much better.Unlock new perks, test out new builds and try to live through the hell you have ended up in.
Every run is different, thanks to the procedurally generated levels. Earn new perks. Build your character to endure what lurks around the corner. If you manage to survive the Jupiter Hell - you can unlock new challenges. It's not gonna get any easier. Quite the contrary.
it's gonna make you suffer.Does 20+ years of experience making top-down, cosmic-hell roguelikes sound like a recipe for a hell of a good turn-based roguelike?
ChaosForge team, the developer of Jupiter Hell, gained recognition for creating a That game, the Roguelike" (known now as DRL), a turnbased unmake of a famous 1993 FPS. They built the Jupiter Hell as a spiritual successor to DRL.

What if DOOM were an isometric turn-based tactical game? ...Now we know! Lovingly crafted & intensely atmospheric, you can leisurely slay demons in this rogue-like celebration of gibs, gore, and guns.

I don't know if these are the same people but this is basically D00M the Roguelike remade with cover mechanics and a wider selection of guns and enemies. I. LOVE. IT! If I had to level any its that I can't shove spare armor or weapons into my inventory or unload the ammo from guns like I could in D00MRL, but I also enjoy the extra challenge of not being able to do so. Either way I'm having a blast. It also runs on my current potato of a computer that was made to use Window 8, so you know the code's optimized.

Disclaimer: Most of my hours are on the Switch version. The Sonic of rogue-likes. Highly recommend, whenever I get the itch for another actual rogue-like, i boot this because it's the gold standard in my opinion of bringing the "rogue" format into the modern day. Fast, brutal and so, so much fun. The graphics really grew on me over time (pixel fan at heart) and i actually find myself wanting to play this more than JH Classic because of them. 10/10

Traditional roguelike doom. The sound track and pacing are on point. It may not have as many mechanics as some other roguelikes, but got damn it's got character.
