Burden Street Station

I feel weird about Burden Street Station, because on one hand it was great. The art was phenomenal and so snappy and full of life. And the writing was emotional and genuinely tear jerking, with a really good story & message underneath. But I feel like I didn't get enough game in the game I paid $15 for... I didn't play this game in one sitting and I regret that, it did definitely deeply impact the experience as a whole. It's not very long, about two to threeish hours with a fun premise of mixing and matching emotional parts to get through conversations with a cast of fun colorful characters. But I feel like I would've gotten more out of the game if I played it all at once, I played the second and third parts in one go and that's when I really started to enjoy BSS. I do recommend it but cannot stress how important it is to get this game on sale. I can tell it really clicked for others and it did for me once I got in the right headspace for it. I don't know what I was expecting out of BSS but I was pleasantly enjoyed with what I got!!! I just wish there was a bit more as the lack of everything felt a bit underwhelming at times.

incredible

Sweet and short

Local residents get interrogated by abstract creature while healing from trauma in the process. Visually distinct game with incredibly lovable characters, but slightly held back by its shorter length. 9/10
