Interesting balancing philosophy gives this a very distinct feel for something running on a fork of zdoom: enemies hit hard, go down easy, and come at you in droves- without hit scanners, and with projectiles that can be parried or shot down.
its well...decent for a boomer shooter but not completely an ´roguelite´ fps
not a fan of this one, I like the spritework, but the gunplay is lackluster, game could use some movement shooter options or atleast the ability to lean from cover if the gunplay is going to be like this on Normal. I love Doom on Ultra Violent but the balance on this doesnt feel fun. I get its a bullet hell but often I feel like I am either cheezing a boss or taking pot shots at them from the other side of the battle arena. regardless of the method I manage to pull off, it doesnt feel fun
The presentation is stilted, the controls do not work properly if you rebind them or reset them to default, the ever-present crosshair is more of a hinderance than a guide. HOWEVER, the reload animations are hilarious and the cute chibi face in the bottom left always keeps me going <3 edit: found the option to remove the crosshair
Fun jank has returned.
games alright, its a pretty short game, but its made well, honestly just go play Beyond citadel lol
