Zone 6

This game is a bit of a mixture of a visual novel and old school self adventure books where you can influence the story. As you progress through the game the art walks hand in hand with the situations you face. I think that no matter if you face the journey alone or team up with friends, the game promises a unique experience with each playthrough. The art in itself is stunning and warrants multiple playthroughs as you always find something new in the scenery. To my surprise since I'm not much of a music guy, I found the ingame music quite delightful. The dialogue is quirky and funny. There's a bit of a twist at the end which makes the game have replayability - especially if you play with friends/family. Your choices matter, but more so from what you experience in the game and art you see. It's really hard to make poor choices since the game is quirky enough that even if you were to put your hand into the mouth of a grizzly bear it turns out that you managed to remove a splinter from it's gum and you become bff. the game works on linux without any issues, add keyboard and/or gamepad/controller navigation and this would be the perfect "minimal battery drain" game for steamdeck by simply locking the fps to the minimum I have yet to get far in the story, but it seems really nice this far, some technobabble feels a bit too babble-y (exploded transistor) but I have experience(and education) that the average player probably don't, and it is on the level of most TV and games there should be some replayability, although I am unsure of how much the story differs when picking different class/character at the start, there DOES seem to be quite a bit of RNG used which is nice My rating: 10 Linux mascots 🐧out of 16 Missing: keyboard or gamepad/controller support to the DEV: keep up the great work. the game should easily get a platinum rating on proton-db and a verified status for steamdeck(once you add keyboard and/or gamepad/controller navigation) hope to see you again next närcon - "that one" linux user

Love has been poured into this game, it shines though its wonderful art style, creative writing, and fascinating setting. Even playing though it without others, I was absolutely enamoured with its twists and turns- and I plan to get a group together to play all at once because I bet its mechanics really shine though with others (Especially the ending, not to spoil- but it's probably got to be my favourite part.) If you're familiar with "The Yawhg" you're pretty much getting a very similar experience times eleven. That game holds a special place in my heart for its cosy vibes and interesting mechanics, and everything I could hope for and much much more is present in Zone 6- Including its run on effect player interactions and quirky events. I'm not sure what you'd call this style of game, but it's probably one of my favourite genres. Did I mention the art? I love it, each background is suited for a desktop. Incredible art, a whacky world, and the only thing I miss is a damn big lore book to go with it. The ending was a bit aprupt but I cant wait to dig into it again! There are so so many options
