About Road 96: Mile 0

✦ AI summary

Step into the shoes of Zoe and Kaito, two teens from opposite sides of Petria's class divide, as you navigate their friendship through choices that shape their fate in this narrative adventure prequel to Road 96. Experience their story through emotionally charged musical segments where your decisions and reflexes guide them through psychedelic inner worlds that reveal what they truly believe in.

Road 96: Mile 0 is a Narrative-Adventure game with a musical component created by DigixArt, the French studio behind the successful Road 96, 11-11 Memories Retold and 5 Pegases Awards winner. Published by Ravenscourt, players will alternate between the roles of Zoe and Kaito, two teenagers with different backgrounds and beliefs. They live and explore White Sands, a luxurious condominium where Petria´s elite reside and where Kaito´s parents work.

Zoe is one of the characters of Road 96. She comes from the rich side of the city and her father works for the government. Kaito, a character from Lost in Harmony, lives in the less privileged area. They're good friends, but that could all change quite soon.
Their journey in Road 96: Mile 0 will challenge their friendship and everything they believe in. They say money doesn’t buy happiness, nor friendship. These teens are dreamers and they are going to learn where they belong. Will they remain friends?

Understand the previous event of Road 96 and what made Zoe flee from her home. Play as Zoe and Kaito to shape the evolution of their fate. Besides this, you will run into many of the colorful characters from Road 96. Get to experience another side of the troubled country of Petria.

It's All About Friendship

This is a story about conflict and difference of opinion between two friends. Zoe and Kaito come from two different worlds, but they are unified by a powerful friendship. They will face many challenges, can they overcome them?
9/10
I've just finished this game, and wow, this game's writing is awesome.
The Good
- The game's writing is phenomenal. - The atmosphere and corruption of the in-world govt is shown and expressed in a amazing way - The OST is amazing - The graphics look amazing - New mechanics that we didn't see in Road 96 are in this game
The Bad
- The "song" parts character movement is extremely delayed for some reason - The visuals on the song parts are also extremely confusing at times and make stuff way to complicated to figure out and see - The base character movement is weird, and kinda slow - NO FOV CHANGER. - I had a weird framerate issue at some parts, but it was still playable -
The hideout choice at the end with Zoe has no meaning

Overall
This game is really good, the atmosphere is spot on and the characters are written really well. But the movement issues are noticeable and they are weird(?) at times.

I loved it. Although I must concede that the voice acting felt very armature and cheesy at times, alongside the strange ride sections - I did love the atmosphere of some of the ride sections. Though, it felt very forced at times. I believe cutting down on the amount of those sections would have greatly helped the pacing of the game. But overall I did love the atmosphere of the game, and the backstory of Zoe and Petria that we were given. If you loved Road 96 and its lore; I'm sure you would appreciate this game.

As a Road 96 fan, I researched the game and knew what I was getting into. Yes, it's not the exact same as Road 96, but it's not as bad as people say it is! I bet that Zoe is everyone's favorite character in the original, so getting to know more about her past is really interesting! I just hope we maybe get a game that would be about the peak collapse, possibly officially meet Alex's parents too.

Nice game, but way too short, most of the time is spent trying to S+ all rides (which is a royal pain in the arse).
