[Edit after 100%] Somehow my recommendation has only strengthened. Getting all of the endings was a ton of fun, especially by Loop 4 when I [spoiler] got the chainsaw [/spoiler] and [spoiler] realized you could level weapons beyond 10 [/spoiler]. After playing many endings (and still having entire zones I haven't figured out how to enter), I can safely say this has the sauce. Yes, it seems way too difficult to fully upgrade multiple weapons at first, yes the balancing is all over the place, and yes I have found something i wont share here out of fear it gets patched out, but so much of this game oozes that magic you can only get from indies. The art direction and world design are peak, and looping feels great since you already have mastery over where to go, and you rediscover plot lines and endings you long forgot your first playthrough. I bought it on sale, but I heartily recommend it even at full price. Now, back to finding the Institution Key...

Surprisingly fun game that I discovered after watching the Iron Pineapple video. If you like PS1 Style gameplay and a bit of jankiness, you will have a lot of fun discovering the world. I felt like the game gets better as you play. Buy on discount and have some fun for 3-4 hours !

I've played for 3 hours and already got 2 endings but I'm going through ng+ now and it seems like there's alot more to uncover. It's a goofy game in the best way possible. To steal from another reviewer, if you like jank and souls games then just buy it. Here's a very early game souls farm: [spoiler] at the beach after you take the elevator and see the burning fires there are a ton of enemies standing around. Aggro them all then run around the fire. The fire will kill them and you will get tons of souls. Rest at bonfire and repeat[/spoiler]

Had this on my radar after the Iron Pineapple video and decided to buy after it got a few patches. Not too far into the game yet (just beat my second boss), but having a lot of fun. Not sure if combat was improved a lot, or I'm just vibing with it more, but it is quite enjoyable. There is jank there of course, but nothing too bad. And the vibes are just great. If you are like me and have had this haunting your mind after seeing the IP video, do yourself a favour and give it a try!

OH yeah my type of souls jank! It's got the souls, it's got the jank not bad jank, good jank! I play all the soul janks and this one is a gem! Update not my jam clipping into enemies and even clipping over them off of cliff, Nope throw this one back needs to cook more!

A janky, short soulslike with basic features. The level design is lacking, the story is simple, the graphics aren't great. And yet... something draws you into the experience. It is undeniably weird, and that is what carries it. My playtime at the of recording includes the first playthrough at New Game Plus, to give you an idea of just how short the experience is. All this said, I can recommend it, but only at a deep discount.
