Putrika 1st.cut:The Reason She Must Perish (2025)

Overall a pleasant emotional VN with a solid story considering the short length! Fantasy settings are generally quite hit-or-miss to me but I did enjoy this one, although the world-building itself falls into the background, with the character relations being the main focus. The plot starts rather slow and moege-like but eventually the story unfolds into a darker and more complex direction, with interesting mystery and plot twists. I found the writing great, it especially manages to seize the tragedies and introspectives beautifully! Moreover the music is phenomenal, it truly sets the medieval atmosphere really well, and while I also love the art style, the faces often look very distorted and disproportionate which looks silly to me tbh, but I didn't mind it much lol. Additionally this game has a very pretty and dynamic UI but it kept stagnating my game severely until I set it to the simplified version (even then it didn't run too smoothly lmao); a cruel reminder that even visual novels are raising PC system requirements nowadays (◞‸◟,)

Amazing game, the character design was what pulled me in, I didn't even know the English Translation was out for half a year from the moment I bought this. 10/10 experience, I would recommend anyone to give it a read. The start is a little slow, but the climax didn't let me down. The character design is exquisite (hah like 2nd.cut), the art is absolutely stunning and I am surprised that the English version don't have as much popularity as the Japanese version. The UI design for this game despite only being a backing piece was amazing too. The music for this game is beautiful and provided a really enjoyable experience with the right mood and composition. I am very excited to read 2nd.cut once it gets translated. I hope Kagami Games will keep up their good works and I hope to see the team's work on 2nd.cut. I cannot give this game enough praise, please give it a read if the art even pique your interest even slightly.

I really enjoyed the story. Even though it's short, it's so well-written and touching. I'm really hoping there's a localization for part two, lol.

When darkness overpowers light,my screen turned into pitch black instead of white,I deem it would be better. What contributes me to buy English version mainly due to a much lower price between English version and Chinese version.There are also exists reasons such as the preparation for the final English text and the low rate Chinese translation I hear of.Anyhow,it consumes more time than I had expected,but it deserved .I was on English learning and start to learn Japanese,so I worked it with my electric dictionary.(So—why there is so many words means with the meaning like 'depraved'? )The feeling of experiencing the differences between the two languages is indescribable.I had buried myself into this world despite it has a high profile,which sometimes brought me a bad impression.The scene of this game are quite excellent,the essence is about salvation and death,the plot is a fate they should face,emphasizing on people's ignorance.
