The devs hardcode loss conditions through AI DO NOT BUY I used to hustle people at magic the gathering for cards and cash, I understand deck building, engines, draw statistics etc. I ended every match at full health and went on to the last match The boss just started to buff all of her creatures with +50 to +200 attack. with multiplicative buffs when at best a player gets additive buffs, THere is no way to win through that sheer wall of inflated damage, it is like the AI decided I was doing to well so it forced a loss condition. I am unistalling this is bad coding and I will never buy any product that Crater makes again

You have so many card games to get inspired by. I can't believe these are the card effects and types you have come up with. The game is like an early iteration of a draft. There is no excitement here.

The only mode is an endless run where you play until you lose or give up in frustration. Usually these types of modes are an extra thing you get at the end after you get tired of the main game, but that's all there is here. There's also barely any enemy or card variety. I've seen the same handful of enemies over and over even after playing for only an hour or two. There's some good stuff in there but it feels like half the game is missing.

Verdict: I was really looking toward to playing Doomspire. It looked fun, full of things to do and minions to encounter. Truth is, it is none of that and the devs spend most of the budget on streamers instead of developing an actually good game. + Positives + + Steam achievements (30, tons of grind) + 7 Different factions + Kinda nice to look at + You can change your character models and card backs + Easy to understand + Tons of passives + Leveling up your allegiance unlocks new passives, hero skins and abilities – Negatives – - No Steam trading cards - The whole game feels like a demo or an early access - There is no tutorial and some icons are never explained - No glossary with items / cards either - Some factions are passive dependant, otherwise they have no damage (poison one) - Why the hell do you have factions and yet you need to abandon run if you want to try a different one? Hangs shortly after starting, saying the renderer timed out. No log files are generated. Engine tweaks have no effect on this issue. The GPU utilization seems maxed out even when nothing is happening and the CPU, RAM and disk activity are all at zero. If I had to guess, it is because the program tries to do an operation that is not supported by the GPU and has no fallback. There have been other games that only work if you have things like RTX.
