About Colorado Rail Game

Welcome to the JourneyA journey told through places, people, and moments. This is a slow travel experience where you travel by train, step into new cities, and decide how to spend your time — exploring locations, meeting locals, visiting landmarks, or simply observing the world around you. There are no timers pushing you forward and no perfect routes to follow. Your journey unfolds through small choices, quiet discoveries, and meaningful moments.Choose your CharacterEach character experiences the journey in their own way. Their interests define which places bring them the most happiness. Some enjoy culture and history. Others prefer food, nature, social moments, or adventure. Choosing a character means choosing how you want to travel.Travel By TrainThe train is your main hub during the journey.
Here you can relax, talk to passengers, eat, and prepare for the next stop. Many discoveries begin on the train — through conversations and shared stories.Discover Places Though PeopleNot all destinations appear on the map. Many places are discovered through conversations, brochures, and stories. Talking to people is one of the most important ways to learn where to go next. Some locations stay hidden until you hear about them. Curiosity often leads to the most memorable moments.Explore the City MapChoose where to go next. When you arrive at a city, you can step off the train and explore. The city map shows places you can visit — both known and unknown. When you arrive at a city, you can step off the train and explore. The city map shows places you can visit — both known and unknown.Visit Places of InterestEvery place offers a unique experience. Each location has its own story, atmosphere, and activities. Some places invite you to explore deeply, others to simply observe. How much you enjoy a place depends on your character’s preferences. The more meaningful the visit, the more happiness you gain.Capture Moments and StoriesMemories matter more than efficiency. Some places allow you to take photos or collect stories. These moments become part of your journey and your diary. Not every experience needs to be optimized.
Some memories are valuable simply because they happened.Rest, Eat, and Slow DownTaking care of yourself is part of the journey. Travel isn’t only about moving forward.
Eating, resting, and slowing down help maintain your happiness. Hunger won’t end your journey, but ignoring it will affect how you feel. Don't forget to stock up on food and visit train shop to keep your character's satisfaction level high.Hotels and RestA place to pause and reset. As evening comes, most places in the city close. Hotels are a safe place to slow down, rest, and prepare for the next day. Here you can: Sleep until morning, eat at the restaurant, take a short walk nearby. Resting doesn’t give bonus happiness, but it helps stabilize your journey and keeps your rhythm balanced.Keep Your Travel DiaryYour journey is written as you go. Your travel diary records what you discover: places, photos, badges, and memorable moments. Some pages stay empty — waiting for future trips. Others slowly fill with experiences worth remembering.

This game is entirely AI slop. All art assets are AI garbage that make it feel empty and soulless. The information is copied and pasted seemingly from Wikipedia, as some text still has citations (such as [b] right in the beginning when it's telling you about Colorado). The dialog seems to be written by hand, as there are typos. The game loop is boring, not relaxing, with no pay off. Seriously, I understood it all after 2 minutes and only kept playing so I could write this review. You sit on the train, talk to people with the delightfully original names of Character 1 and Character 4, then you arrive at your station. Now what? Well now you go to different locations that are usually just art museums, pay an admission fee, and then you get to watch either more AI generated slop videos, or stock footage. This game is weird, the premise is weird, I wanted to like it because it's weird, but it's not weird in a fun way. It's weird in a soulless AI slop way that can only come from a developer named "BSA Consulting LLC."

Overall Opinion:I haven’t dived deep enough into the gameplay to give a detailed review, but I want to share my honest thoughts so far. Personally, I don't mind the AI-generated art style used in the game. However, please note that for players who are not fluent in English, you will likely need a free translation assistant tool like "LunaTranslator" to fully enjoy and understand the experience.Below is an English summary of the developer's second official update video, provided by Google AI Model, which sheds light on the game's current development and future plans:Summary of Developer Update #2:Development Background: The project is personally funded by a solo transit advocate and built in collaboration with a resilient indie development team working under the difficult realities of war in Ukraine. The historical aspects are heavily researched using Alan Lewis's book "Rails Around Denver" to ensure authenticity (2:04).The AI Art Situation: The developer addressed community feedback regarding AI images (1:05). They explained that AI art was used strictly as temporary placeholders due to tight budgets and time constraints (1:10).Future Art Transformation: To move away from AI, the d…
