You don't have to be active all the time, no FOMO, just relaxing waves and once in a while a small and short enjoyable distraction. The game looks nice at first glance, but the experience quickly falls apart. For starters, the fish you catch during the tutorial does not even show up in your tank or get listed in your journal. It feels like a pointless introduction. After finishing that tutorial, it sat there for an hour and did not get a single bite. The description mentions that bites happen on a "schedule minutes to hours apart" while also claiming the game is "Designed to be fun". I am really not sure what kind of fun you are supposed to get out of staring at a screen waiting hours for a single catch. To make matters worse, this is tagged as an idler, which is misleading. An idler implies that the game plays by itself and progresses while you do other things. Waiting around to manually click when a fish finally decides to bite is not an idle game. It is also frustrating that you cannot even toggle or hide the window when you need it out of the way. You are just stuck with it sitting there doing absolutely nothing. This is the worst idle fishing game I have ever played.
