About Instruments of Peace

Set in the tense final days of World War II, I.O.P is a gritty, story-driven stealth game where players embark on a dangerous mission behind enemy lines. With the Nazi regime collapsing, high-ranking officers have gone into hiding—rumors swirl that Adolf Hitler himself may have escaped. As a specially trained Allied operative, your mission is to infiltrate remnants of the Nazi war machine scattered across war-torn Europe. From abandoned bunkers to snowy forests and epic scenes, you’ll use stealth, deception, and precision to uncover hidden clues, track Hitler, and dismantle what’s left of a dying empire.Every encounter matters. Use disguises, sabotage, and silent takedowns to avoid detection.  Can you save the world from Hitler?

This has got to be one of the jankiest games I have ever played. Just jank, jank, and more jank. Your character can clip through objects and guards, several objects you are supposed to pick up are just floating around in the air, picking up objects often does not work, pressing Q to break guards' necks did not work for me, there are no animations for lock picking or cutting wire, stabbing animations are atrocious, level design is terrible, you can fall right through rooftops by clipping through them, shadowing effects are poor, texture pop-in is prevalent, there are constant frame rate drops, and pressing the button to load a game can cause an infinite loading screen where you are forced to quit the game. There is also no manual save, which is imperative for stealth games in my opinion. And checkpoints (if there are any) must be extremely far away because I could not tell if the game ever saved unless you complete an entire level. You also cannot remap the controls and you must quit playing and exit back to the main menu to adjust the options. Mouse sensitivity is also too high and the mouse sensitivity slider is already lowered as low as it can go. Combat is also absolutely terrib…

This game has good potential, and seeing as it is by a solo dev it is great. The alt-history setting is fun, and the gameplay is very satisfying. I recommend.

This game may be rough around the edges for most, and you will run into glitches and confusion, but I enjoyed it from a solo developer who is a fan of the Metal Gear games. I managed to finish the game and it was an enjoyable, about 3 hour experience. Thank you.
