Story
World War II rages and nations fall. Himmler’s German SS Paranormal Division has Hitler's full backing to twist science and the occult into an army capable of annihilating the Allies once and for all. As US Army Ranger William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, you're on a solo mission to pierce the black heart of the Third Reich and stop Himmler...or die trying.

I mostly enjoyed my time with this one, though I did encounter a few bugs here and there. In a desperate attempt to give the Axis the upper hand and win World War II, Himmler tries to resurrect prince Heinrich I and his knights. That's all you need to know, everything else serves as a vehicle for Blazkowicz to blast some Nazis, which is all I expected from a Wolfenstein game. On the graphics front, it looks good and is on par with other games from 2001. The game is quite inconsistent in its level design and the number of secrets spread across its 26 missions. I'd rather have fewer missions with more polished maps. The stealth section in the "Forest Compound" level is very finicky. Nevertheless, it's a solid early-aughts FPS campaign. From what I've read, the Xbox and PS2 versions have some changes, so I'd like to play them someday. P.S. This franchise has an aversion to shotguns.2 found this helpful
