Orbitous

I was here when the game launched and while the core elements were there, the fight between enemies and the entire environment was rough. Today, I went back in to find this game had fixed every issue at launch. I found this game to be a wonderful experience and definitely worth the purchase. If I could add one thing, it would be a game mode where I can make and test any/all combinations of weapon and upgrades.

This game is so cool, but it never stops being frustratingly difficult. I recommend the game because I might just have a skill issue and be super clumsy in only this game for no particular reason. It's not got too much depth from what the trailers show (and some of the later updates) but you shouldn't really have insane expectations for this price. The bosses and features are all unique, although it would be nice if it took a little more brainpower when using the modifiers, rather than just making it so whatever ♥♥♥♥ you throw at the wall sticks 100% of the time. Upgrades do work in a delicate balance though. Whether that balance is by design, or just because sometimes the upgrades feel hella underpowered, is up to you. Overall, strong premise, but the difficulty curve is more of a straight steep line from the beginning to end. Unless you get the hang of it straightaway, you'll stay being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the ass via bluetooth connection with an enemy 8 trillion km away the whole playthrough. 24/7.

I love this game! The movement took a while to get down, but I love the bosses and the modifiers are really cool. I think it would be cool if there were some more variety in plants. Maybe like some types of neutral alien planets to land on, with enemies that are passive unless attacked, but besides that I really enjoyed this game. Would recommend!

I love this game, most of the time. The gameplay is great, and the story is pretty decent. I love all the ways you can specialize a weapon in orbitous. however.... Stars. they can insta-kill you if you're not careful. The range between objectives is large enough that i tend to fly around at speeds of at least 200 m/s. But at that speed, there isn't sufficient warning when you are about to crash into a star, which could mean the end of your run. it's probably just my playstyle, but its still frusterating, as i've gotten to the final mission several times now, and always died at the last second either to a star or my own stupidity. I definitly reccomend you try this out; its cheap to buy, the mechanics are amazing to play with, and the story is pretty good. But just be careful of stars, and don't fly very fast. or do, i don't care.
