Spacefleet: Heat Death

UI needs a LOT of work. I'm not even sure how to advise the dev, but making it where right-click enables rotation around the selected object would be a good start. Trying to order my units was a real chore compared to the earlier Children of a Dead Earth. I love the concept, but the execution on the UI is currently so bad that I just don't have the time to invest in figuring it out. I'll keep checking in.

Was promising, but seems to be yet another abandoned early access game. Very sad.

The game is still in early access, so my review is up to change, but that status doesn't stop me from thinking about Heat Death in a negative way. I added this game to my wishlist about 4 months ago, all that I could see about the gameplay was a couple of devlogs made by the developer. I really liked the trade mechanics, but in the current state of the game the trading part (and partly the 'dogfight' part) is absolutely unplayable. For one [and where this negative review comes from] is that stations run out of available to buy fuel after a while, so the economy stagnates. No more fuel is produced (for some reason..). You can't transport goods from station to station without fuel, right? This happens about after 3 months in-game time. I'd like to add that the automatic trading 'AI' makes a huge lotta mistakes after about a month due to this, sometimes stranding a whole fleet in the middle of nowhere with no fuel available, great way to get softlocked. I saw some fixes made by the community, but I don't think installing third party software [mods..] should have been expected to play this game. I have searched around in steam discussions, and noticed the developer actually responded…

Great concept but barely functioning. Ships don't stay consistent where you had them on the map. Time just freezes and your fleet will just be frozen in space and there's nothing you can do.

This game is the closest and best thing we'll get in terms of the feel, this game is going far, just give the dev some time

it is a good game but it needs to implement an actually use for tankers, either for trading or fleet refueling. personally i would like to see both but as of now they are kina useless you cannot trade with them and they only add to a fleets max fuel reserves. i would like to be able to refuel and or resupply my combat fleets from merchant/tanker fleets and not worry about what is available at the nearest station
