I love this game. It's my absolute favourite in the series, but very different to the others. You do get a limited selection of ships in each level, but you still decide what to build and it doesn't feel like a limit. Plus there's an option to play any level with a custom fleet with a separate leaderboard, and a built in ship editor so you can make custom ships of any design. (Or download designs others have shared) After you've completed the main story there's over 2 thousand player made levels which range from incredibly easy to almost impossible. I've completed a little over 10% of them so far.1 found this helpful
This was a fun game. I'm not a huge fan of the ending, but I won't spoil it. It does really feel like the place for a DLC, though, so perhaps that will change in future. The gameplay is pretty linear, although I miss some of the Creeper World ship placement - if you lose a lathe (and when are you NOT), you have to go find out which one you lost, and place it back. I'd have preferred if I could just place them by category, or for that matter if the ships were sortable / sorted. All in all, the difficulty curve is fair and while it's short it was still fun to play.
Ya know what. Its a pretty fun lil game :D
It's decent, fairly short story though there are other modes to mess around with if you enjoy it enough. Worth it on sale at least.
Love these kind of games, this one is no exception.
Great game, lots of community maps.
