Insect Armageddon is an offshoot of the EDF series. It has the same level of entertainment in 2026 as it did 15 years earlier in 2011... it's alright. I do not recommend this game if you haven't played the mainline Earth Defense Force Games as they are far better. Plenty of games, so so many other games are better than this one. However, if you enjoy EDF and you are curious at how this game is, definitely pick it up. You will be a bit underwhelmed, but at the same time shooting bugs is shooting bugs. It's great to turn your brain off and grind this game out sometimes. This is my favorite game series and I can't recommend it enough. See below for a quick summary ranking of all games in the series.
