I Did'nt see or understand the hate this game got upon relase maybe im just differnt but i loved it1 found this helpful
Still an abhorent mess of a game filled with game breaking bugs, suicidal AI and the most boring story for such a beloved franchise. Sorry please check out Dark Descent or Isolation instead. This is not the Alien game you are looking for.
Its fun in coop but i dont recommend to play this solo. Game has some interesting ideas but thats it.
Nostalgia 15/10
such a great game for its time. absolutely love the movie aspect of the game. the story how it continues from the second movie in the aliens franchise is top tier and other games just dont make em like that anymore
I'm a fan of FPS games and the Aliens franchise, so Aliens: Colonial Marines scratches both itches. The atmosphere is great, the firefights can be tough, and it does a good job of making you feel like a Colonial Marine battling xenomorphs. The biggest downside is the alien AI, which can still be a bit hit-or-miss. After about 20 hours of playtime, I installed TemplarGFX's Overhaul, and it made a noticeable improvement. The gameplay feels more polished, several long-standing issues are fixed, and I encountered very few bugs that affected the experience. If you're an Aliens fan and can pick it up on sale, I'd recommend giving it a try—especially with the TemplarGFX overhaul installed.
