CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS

Perfect example of a game where you should form your own opinion and not worry about reviews. I’m having a blast playing it. It’s fun. Isn’t that what games should be about?

I don't understand the hate. The game is great, taken down a couple notches by a mid soundtrack and uneven weapon progression. On the plus side it plays great, has 4 player online coop, you can turn off the music and play your own YouTube Contra remix playlist, It drops regularly to $5, and the lowest current price showing on AllKeyShop dot com is about $6. Get a buddy to play with you and you'll have a good time.

Contra is a classic gaming series, and this game is a disappointment; it's even difficult to recommend. I'll take away the positive aspect that it's cooperative for up to 4 people, which makes it entertaining and enjoyable, the design of their bosses is just as reliable as that of the original Contras and the weapon upgrade and customization system is cool, but overall the game doesn't work, and even less so as a Contra. Its movements are clunky; it's a reboot that ended up straying from the formula that made the Contras so special; the camera is awful, as are its graphics. The humor... there were moments where I cried with laughter, and others where I cried with sadness for having spent 5 dollars on this game. 3/10

Hello, I did enjoy Contra Rogue Corps sorta. I honestly can't recommend this game to gamers or Contra fans. Let me begin by starting off with the obvious fact, this game is freaking ugly that goes for both main characters and enemies. I never seen main characters that need a redesign, unlockable outfits, or DLC with complete glow up. The main characters you have in this game are Kaiser who you start the tutortial with, Ms Harakiri an assassin, Hungry Beast which is Panda with a scientist brain, and The Gentleman an ugly alien bug. You unlock them after the tutorial with Kaiser. Your boss throughout the entire game is a Black girl boss who is just useless, gives orders, swears, and picks you up after mission is done. She would be useful if she gave you special weapons during missions, 1 ups, shield power ups but no she won't don't do anything except just blah blah blah and tells you stuff YOU ALREADY KNOW! The gameplay... Where to start with this one? Okay, so its a twin stick shooter, you use the left joystick to move and the right stick to aim. You can jump, dash which has invincibility frames and sometimes stuns enemies. I'm gonna be honest that dash stun works whenever it wan…

Good for a laugh, not that bad a game.
