Styx: Blades of Greed

In terms of abilities, this is a huge upgrade from the previous games! I respect the team doing something new, making this entry a bit more open world compared to the previous two. Going back and forth from point A to point B over and over got a bit tedious, but I found it to be an enjoyable edition to the series overall. The story was alright and the voice acting was a bit rough at times, but it was a fun game to unwind to after work. It won't blow your mind, but it's refreshing to see the developers back with a new title. Wait for a sale and if you enjoyed the previous games, you'll at least enjoy this one.

The worst game of the trilogy.

l played all of styx games and this one is just dissapointing ai is dumb as ♥♥♥♥ even dummer than shards of darkness. Bad optimizaton too like stutering, imput lag its a little better after came out but still bad movement is kind a mprove in some areas like clinig to a wall and droping animation. Story meh forgetable characters and the plot predictable. Gameplay -abilyties is kind a of mix bag there cool but they nerfed the most iconic too from the styx series and thats the clone exploding its gone you can just use him for securing double and feels really weak other abilyties are fine nothing special there. Exploration for me very confusing especially inclosed area are kind of hard to get to the exploring the some are 10 times its not really my cup tea l am here to play single player stealth which the locations should be diffriend and unique bad sadly nah.

As someone who 100% both Shards and shadows, Its a decent game. buts it not a styx game. Game went away with the, swift, ghost mercy and stuff. and you need to kill enemies for most players not to get detected but from looking at the achievements it doesn't really mater. if you just want a stealth game buy it on sale. buts it meh. i might update this if i decide to play more.

Overall good game open sandbox per map with new areas that you unlock if you travel to zeppelin dock in each map of 3 its more fun and creative than other styx games the story however isn't as masterpiece as older ones 10/10 gameplay but like 6.5/10 story -I love the game but for first time this game saga - i get bug stuck at Quartz and Consequences - i got both quartz - the Akenash ruins locked still despite the 1/1 collection on both other zones - i hope the developers fix this and yes i can't find any quartz using the compass, in the mission it shows 0/1 for Turquoise Dawn yet in the map travel system it shows 1/1 for both areas, leaving the akenash ruins mission locked despite the 1/1 requirement being fulfilled - for context im 32mins away from finishing the game before the bug getting me locked so i had to watch a video for that.

I have very mixed feelings about this game, and it feels like they were so close to knocking it out of the ballpark but made the scope too big. If I had to rate I'd say a 7/10, it's pretty solid but I think it loses some of what made the first two Styx games special in my opinion. That being said, I appreciate this game taking risk to change the formula from the first two games and I do like a lot of the changes that were done. The Good: I like the change of gameplay loop with 3 main areas and exploring new parts of them as you unlock movement abilities. While I wish that the Quartz missions were a bit more varied, they did a good job of getting you to explore the map and hit the set pieces. The movement abilities are really fun, the grappling hook and the glider are the best but the climb was disappointing. This combined with the map design almost gives this game an almost Metroidvania quality. I liked the story, as it felt like a better marriage of the original two games where the second was not as connected to the plot or themes of the first game. It wasn't fantastic, but it expanded the world and felt like a good bow on Styx's character as a whole. The pacing of the story…
