Project Freedom

Came out the year after Freelancer, somewhat similar controls - just much worse. Game is on rails, mission here mission there etc. Not very interesting gameplay, narrative or story(only played 40 mins of it though). Tbh i'm wondering about refunding it, but it was only £1, not sure I cba, definitely cba to play any more of it. Freelancer has spoiled me I'm afraid..

I had so much fun playing this game. Or at least in the first half, before it started to get repetitive, but even then it was still fun. The soundtrack is full of bangers, and the visuals are gorgeous. They even tried to make the environment change as much as they could, even though the gameplay's basically always the same. However, you ain't gonna use anything other than your primary weapons for most of the game, unless the target isn't moving, because none of the missiles can hit for ♥♥♥♥. And the storyline voice lines are fun, but the voice quips whenever you shoot someone overstay their welcome for too long.

A pretty decent small game that doesn’t waste your time and throws you straight into the action. The upgrade system is fairly primitive, but by the end, you’ll have everything maxed out anyway. The game is quite short — a couple of dozen missions that take around four hours to finish — but at least it doesn’t overstay its welcome. I also found the friendly banter between the allies pretty funny. I played it back in 2009 when it first came out, but I could never beat the final mission. Finally, in 2026, I managed to close that chapter.

This is a fun little time waster, once you figure out how to get it running. It's no Star Wars game, but good enough for a few hours of shooter fun.

Besides the horrible storyline this game was alot of fun.
