A pure hidden objects game that looks quite dated now. There is no adventure in the seven chapters this game presents. You'll just read some journals about what actually happened. The story is about a patient named Rose, a young girl from a wealthy, dysfunctional family; her parents are divorced, and she claims she can converse with ghosts, which is why they decided to admit her to the asylum. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1588566704 The gameplay is just about reading a journal page and then finishing a hidden-object scene with the classic list and scattered stock photos that don't belong in the room. Everything looked chaotic; there were no jump scares, everything was static, and the sound effects were really cheap, too. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1588577179 Some stages require finding object silhouettes, while others require connecting parts of the photo to their original positions, or even finding x instances of the same object. They've combined all types of hidden-object games into this one. There are no puzzles or voice-overs, though; the music was alright and fit the atmosphere, but there is nothing original about this g…

Holy crap, I have found the perfect hidden object game. It's got everything I want: goofy pun names, simple linear story, and hidden object puzzles. I don't have to wade through a bunch of puzzles that are either blatantly obvious in their solution or so obscure that I have to check a guide. No meandering paths where I'm sure to forget a turn somewhere or an area that's only accessible through a door in a closet in a room in the last area so now I have to backtrack to find the last thing I need to defeat the bad guy whose misdeed(s) I've long since forgotten. Just sweet, sweet hidden objects for your girl to find, along with some jigsaw puzzles to mix things up a bit. Concentrated bliss, friends.

An older sort of game that you might be used to, with a very different way of telling its story. It may not sit well with those who are more used to animated works but the written word is even more effective in this case. Delightfully disturbing and deeply emotive work for such a simple game.

incredibly ugly and abrasive HOG, but like in a good way. gameplay is nothing spectacular but works for the most part. what sets it apart is its freaky deaky creep vibe with an old mad scientist running around chasing some weird loli in a neon-frutiger-aero horrorland

im not a HOG gal, so this is really a style over substance thing for me. the gameplay is very simple, doesnt change much, but the macabre visuals and themes are what captured my interest as a child about a decade and a half ago. really i just appreciate an interesting vision when i see it. it is definitely overpriced for max 2 hours of gameplay + if youre enamored by the macabre, id definitely recommend it, though either on sale or in a bundle - if youre a HOG person, i imagine this should underwhelm you note that the series goes unfinished, so be prepared to just imagine that the theoretical third game has a happy ending

It’s a puzzle game wrapped in a spine-chilling story, full of eerie atmospheres and riddles that make you wonder if you’re solving a mystery or just unleashing new nightmares. I am biased, this game is very nostalgic for me, but I do enjoy a little, scary puzzle game.
