- A CLUES system to help you uncover the truth
- Immersive sprite animations, backgrounds, and sound effects
- Accessibility options to customize your experience
- Award-winning original soundtrack
Grea Perrim is a reaper of souls, and it's her duty to bring the deceased to the other side. But in the world of reapers, death isn't any kind of equalizer. The value of a soul is directly tied to the peculiarity of its death.Grea's supernatural senses bring her to a Halloween house party with three costumed guests. She soon finds the most valuable kind of soul: the victim of a locked-room murder.
To reap the soul, Grea must unravel the identity of its killer and explain its death in full.
Is this the work of a human? A witch? Or something else entirely...?

Positive: 🕵️ Reaplaced is a short supernatural murder mystery adventure where you investigate a locked‑room case and uncover the truth before the grim reaper intervenes. Its story‑driven focus keeps it engaging, with simple but effective investigation mechanics. 📜 Exploring clues and progressing through the narrative is straightforward, making it easy to understand and enjoy without any confusion. 🎯 A small set of 14 Steam achievements gives additional goals tied to the story and clue discovery. Negative: 🔁 Interaction is mostly reading and choosing which clues to examine — don’t expect any action or deep mechanics beyond the narrative. ⚙️ The visuals are basic and reflect its indie roots, but they are clear enough for a focused short experience. 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: All 14 achievements are obtainable. ⏱️ Players can unlock everything in under 5 minutes if they know where to go and what choices to make. For casual players who take a moment to read and explore, it may take slightly longer, but the full completion is still extremely fast. Overall: Reaplaced is a compact, story‑focused detective game with a very short playtime and easy achievements. Perfect …1 found this helpful
cute, short free VN that's pretty straight forward with easy to 100% achievements. not bad esp for free1 found this helpful
Reaplaced Recommended Length: Very Short (<5 hours) Number of Routes: 1 Choices: Yes* Failure Possible: No Character Rating: Pretty Decent Story Progression: Good Chaotic Elements: Yes Music Rating: Decent Achievement Difficulty: 1 Additional Thoughts: A decent overall free halloween themed VN that i kinda sat on in my library for 2 years before giving it a read finally (although meant to read it when it first released, think it was kinda past halloween then among other reasons). It is rather linear even though there are choices in this, its more "i want to read things in this order" kind of choices where every option gets selected. Wouldn't have minded if there was an option to guess near the end based on the clues collected, and even if you got it wrong would have still resulted in the same ending.1 found this helpful
I Honestly found the game so fun ! it's not that long as it usually have an average playtime of 2-3h and linear so it is quite easy to follow and there's no need to guess the true ending. I found what i wanted (even if it was quite easy to guess in my opinion) I still had fun even after guessing correctly and i have no regret spending my night on it in a way ! Honestly if you want a dark story, a brutally honest grim reaper protagonist (that does change from a date with death/j) and not overthink it could be your game ! Beside it is the best time to play it as it is the season; Anyways it's free so there's nothing to lose anyways ! Oh and for thoses complaining about not finding the skip button for the under 10min achievement well there's one do check the options section it have the controls with multiples possibilities !1 found this helpful
Quite an engaging game, the type you can easily finish in one section and keeps you hooked the whole time. There weren't any slow or boring moments and the reveal was interesting. Just know that this isn't the type of game with any choices or anything, but I honestly think it's better for it, the choices would just feel like the MC has no agency when she is meant to be smart enough to easily solve it herself, no point in having you click wrong answers or anything. I'd recommend.1 found this helpful
"Reaplaced" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This garbage e-book is exactly what we expect from high school anime club dropout fan-fictions... yes, this is a book all about the authors imaginary girlfriend, who's like a grim reaper or something, and the plot revolves around the authors imaginary anime girlfriend solving a murder mystery, because that's what grim reapers do. At least in these high school anime club dropout fan-fictions about the authors imaginary girlfriend. So, being an e-book about someone's imaginary girlfriend, this is incredibly cringey and will probably make you want to throw up. This was slapped together with the godawful Ren'Py visual novel construction kit... ena…
