WILL: Follow The Light

Disappointing overall. It starts strong, but falls apart fast. Great early atmosphere and solid sailing mechanics, albeit with very little depth, but everything after the lighthouse feels janky and unfinished. There's odd transitions from one area to the next, the NPCs look absolutely awful and move like uncanny animatronics, the dialogue is amateurish, the environments look like mismatched third‑party assets, and the voice acting is wildly inconsistent. The story goes nowhere, puzzles turn into tedious and repetitive chores, like having to light your lamp using the same frequency puzzle for the 10th time, and the protagonist’s flat, emotionless delivery is some of the worst main‑character voice acting I’ve ever heard. At £22.49, the quality just isn’t there. Not recommended.

This game bashes fathers. it presents them as absent and abusive drunkards while presenting mothers as angelic scientists. This is a sailing sim bait and switch. I played for three hours and sailed for all of two minutes.

It's an indie game and it has flaws of course. But that's the thing, the authenticity of indie games and the atmosphere that this game brought made me enjoy playing it, despite the puzzles tho. Wish there could be more sailing and having more interactions in the cabin. Overall a good game to enjoy over the weekend.

An ok little indie walking simulator. The story has no resonance for me cause it's father-son stuff. The graphics are fine for an indie. Voice acting is hit and miss. Not bad for a short offline story diversion.
