I've played The Cat Lady and Lorelai, and although I liked these other two more, I still really liked Burnhouse Lane. Harvester is a highly original game developer in terms of its artstyle and the content of the stories. I ended up playing this one at the right time in my life, as its theme centers around death and mortality, both of which I've been thinking about incessantly. Angie, with her wants and desires, portrays this fear well. As usual, the characters are the highlight, each very distinctive in their personality and voiced exceptionally. New gameplay elements were tried in this iteration, but I'm not sure they served anything other than some filler interactivity. I still don't think it detracted, though. These stories always stay with me and leave a distinct impression. I'm sure I'll be thinking about this for some time to come.7 found this helpful

I've been a long time fan of Harvester Games, and I very much enjoyed their first 3 games, so I was thrilled to find out that they had released another game in 2022 (that somehow managed to evade my gaze until 2026). Burnhouse lane is a new story, separate from the "Devil came through here" trilogy, but it's still set in the same universe (and you will see some fan service in the game). The game in many regards is very similar to the first 3 games - the gameplay loop is more or less the same and you still have the classic Harvester game grim/dark/morbid story and atmosphere that I fell in love with when I first discovered them. Your choices still matter, so there are multiple endings and, with them, a degree of replayability. The key difference in this instalment is the new story, which is rather interesting and captivating. I am also happy to report that the very poor optimisation/performance issues that plagued Lorelei do not seem to be present in this game (with one exception, where a zoomed out scene tanked my FPS). With the praise out of the way, though, I must say that this game is not without its flaws. Harvester seems to have once again forgotten that some people use ult…1 found this helpful
