About 1 Trait Escape
1 Trait Escape is pushing the 1 Trait Danger universe to new heights. Stoney and Trait have been booked to fly to London but mistakenly board a rocket ship where they crash-land on Mars. But this is no normal Mars. This Mars has been terraformed and colonized by a trillionaire antagonist with a vision to restart feudalism on a new planet to be a true king. When Trait and Stoney land they find themselves in what seems to be a medieval version of London. You will play as Stoney and Trait to survive and escape back to planet Earth.
As a rogue-lite, the player will continue to amass power on each run to push themselves closer to their final goal of escaping back to earth. You can expect many intense PvE battles with feudalistic Martian mobs and bosses with many minigames sprinkled in-between.

1 Trait Escape is a frantic, surreal roguelite action game that fully embraces chaos, humor, and repetition as core pillars of its design. Developed by Andrew Katz and Jeremy Collette and published by 1 Trait Danger in collaboration with Matador Records, the game exists in a strange space between bullet-hell shooter, arcade endurance test, and absurdist comedy experiment. It is unapologetically weird, deliberately punishing, and constantly unpredictable, creating an experience that feels less like a conventional progression-driven game and more like a relentless attempt to survive long enough to make sense of the madness unfolding on screen. The narrative setup is intentionally ridiculous and sets the tone immediately. Players control Stoney and Trait, two unlikely protagonists who accidentally end up on a rocket to Mars instead of boarding a flight to London. This mistake lands them in a bizarre, terraformed Martian world that resembles a warped medieval England ruled by an authoritarian king.
