Broken in many ways... And the promo videos use music from other videogames (Falcom's YS and Trails in the Sky) they clearly don't have the licenses for. And don't appear in the actual game. Super classy for sure. And not worth the time even if it were free.

[h1]Acting like a cat - 20/20[/h1] The game does do this right. You walk around in your house or just outside it, and do cute cat stuff. You can "act cute at the bus stop" to make meow coins! You can eat food and scratch things you aren't supposed to scratch -- classic cat stuff! [h1]Adorableness Level - 2/20[/h1] It's a little cute, but you'd get the same level of cute from looking at a picture of the cat on the internet. So you should do that instead. [h1]Polish - 0/20[/h1] Controls are bad, animations are worse, and the English translation is the worst of all. [h1]FUN! - 0/20[/h1] They've provided all the trappings of a game - an inventory, items, stats and attributes, interactions with other characters, an intro story...but there doesn't seem to be any actual game. There are a couple very small areas where you walk and try not to starve to death. That's it. See if you can stick with it long enough to get a couple acheivements out of it--I sure couldn't.

From what I can tell, this game is a meter management and RPG where you play a kitten and attempt to retrieve a stolen item. You keep your survival meters up, trade items and interact with other cats to raise your affection meter. Beyond that there were some combat sections I found which were just mashing the F key when an enemy got close until they died. I like the artstyle, I think it looks neat and different. I wish I could understand the rest of the game to see if there is something I'm missing. I guess the main point is that it's not okay to give your games an "English" release if all the developer does is run text through Google Translate. I understand it's opening to a wider audience, but some quality control is needed because it's a waste of money for someone like me, who only speaks English. A Day For A Kitten is a weird Chinese (probably asset flipped) cat themed third person platformer adventure game, where anything related to quality, valuable gamer experiences etc were discarded almost as quickly as they mashed the button to publish this shovelware on Steam Direct. I think at best this was an attempt to make a meme game without any clear understanding of how to do so. As an attempt to make anything higher than just a meme... well, it's a joke, then. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy minimalist/untextured low-polygon "retro" assets and visuals, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990s. The lack of textures is a method that lazy devs often use to disguise their lack of talent/interest in doing the graphics properly and trying to disguise it under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. instructions initially are unclear, but once you do some digging and actually get into the game, it's relatively fun. good job .

this game is really cute and fun! the translation is a little off form japanese to english, but it's still fun!
