The game won't launch for me and that makes me sad because I need to play with the kitty meows and I can't. :-(

Kitty Play is an undeniably charming indie title built around a concept that instantly appeals to anyone who has ever wondered what life looks like from the perspective of a curious, pampered house kitten. Kitty Play is a broken third person platformer, akin to Goat Simulator, but with worse graphics and gameplay (if you can get it to work at all). The game launches then immediately crashes to desktop. The discussion forums indicate a plethora of problems with the game, and the developer simply hasn't bothered to fix them. They still have their hand out for your money, though, even if the game is broken. Ethical? Nope. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game assets are far from bleeding edge, with lowish polygon counts and somewhat low resolution textures, making this look like it's at least 10 years old. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks poor in comparison to more professionally produced games as a result of their decisions. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players.
