About Abyssmare

✦ AI summary

Blast through procedurally crafted mazes at breakneck speed in this Cthulhu Mythos-inspired roguelite FPS, where you'll gun down eldritch horrors and hunt for the elevator to the next abyss while collecting weapons, gear, and permanent upgrades. With 30+ firearms, 20+ special weapons, deep customization, and hand-authored randomized level design, every run delivers frantic old-school shooter action wrapped in cosmic horror atmosphere.

Abyssmare is a near future science fiction world view based on the Cthulhu Mythos world view, and an action game based on Roguelite+first person shooting.

gameplay:

1.Old-School FPS
With ultra-high movement speed and sustainable output of powerful firepower, all you need to do is attack and explode all the living creatures.
Your goal is to explore the dungeon and find the elevator that leads to the lower level. During this process, you can search for resources in the maze to strengthen yourself, such as ammunition, medical kits, energy crystals, and various weapons and equipment.
2.Manual random maze
On the surface, it is a randomly generated maze, but in reality, all changes in the maze are artificially designed.
This game aims to achieve randomness while ensuring a maze exploration experience.
3.Weapons and Equipments
More than 30 completely different firearms.
More than 20 sub weapons with different functions.
Each profession has a melee weapon.
More than 40 different equipment components, each with unique functions and effects.
The quantity of these items will continue to be updated.
I hope this can enhance your enjoyment of exploring the maze.
4.Roguelite game
This game has two growth cycles.
Growth in a single adventure: includes acquiring weapons and equipment, improving personal attributes, obtaining random buffs, and shopping in temporary stores.
Growth through multiple adventures: The protagonist can obtain a certain amount of resources for each adventure, regardless of victory or death. After completing a single adventure, they can consume resources and permanently enhance the character's strength.

5.Action-RPG game
This game has certain RPG elements, such as custom characters, equipment, and random entries on equipment, character professions, character attributes, etc.
6.Enemies
16 regular enemies+10 bosses, and will continue to be updated.
Except for human enemies, they are all based on the classic Cthulhu Mythos series novels.

Cthulhu Mythos elements:

In this game, monsters and old dominators in the Cthulhu Mythos, whose size is approximately similar to that of human beings and may be destroyed by human weapons, are selected as enemies, and a new image is designed for them.
Most enemies have undergone physical modifications and are wearing "ShenWei" exoskeletons, hoping these will make you feel interesting.

Hectic roguelite first-person shooter that needs a few patches to plug some annoying holes. First, you must create a character. It allows you to choose from a variety of haircuts, eyes, and colors. You can also select between male and female physique types. There isn't much, but it's enough to give the character some personality. What is more essential is which of the three roles you will choose. The options are standard warrior, mage, and rogue. The sole difference between them is a significant increase in a metric specific to the role, such as strength for a warrior. But in the end, it doesn't really matter. The game's graphics and feel are reminiscent of vintage fire-person shooters, so you'll be dashing down corridors and rooms at rapid speeds while evading and shooting at opponents. Locations are rectangular, boring, empty spaces with little detail. While there are unique textures on the walls, you don't have time to examine them. As always, if something seems out of place, there could be a secret behind the wall. The unique part of the game is that stages are random. You won’t know the layout or enemies you might encounter. Well, it’s not all entirely random. Sections wil…

I like this game, I really do. And while I do Recommend it, I would wait until it gets a few updates as it has a few problems that need to be addressed. First, the good: 1. Making your own character is fun. The options are plentiful and it actually makes the runs feel really unique since you can choose a class as well (there are only three at the moment). 2. Graphics have an old smoothed out style that looks good and its easy on the eyes. The character models have this Gundam like look to them and it fits with the environment. 3. The story is pretty generic but its overall setting is quite unique as it takes place in a underwater factory that makes advanced exosuits. 4. Combat is fast paced, kind of like Doom or Quake. 5. Weapons feel nice to use and the RPG mechanics are pretty interesting since it can effect how combat will fair in the long run. Now for the issues, be mindful that this game released yesterday as of this review and the problems you see may or may not change: 1. Missing flooring on some maps: I fell through the floor at one point due to it not being rendered and had to kill the run I was on, fortunately for me it was at the beginning but imagine if it was in…
