Action Point Locomotion System:
- No Motion Sickness! With the action point locomotion system, no artificial movement is done!
- Each action point is designed carefully to have everything you need within the reach of your hands.
- Like: Everything you need to shear a sheep is right at the shearing station within your hand’s reach.
- Or: Everything you need to work on the fields is at the tool spot. All tools are in reach of your hands.
- You can get to an action point with just a blink of an eye.
No button learning:
- Do everything with your own hands. No extensive button learning is needed.
- To dig up a field, take a shovel with you and grab it with two hands. Then dig the field up like you would in the real world.
- To sow out seeds, just grab a seed bowl, grab some seeds from it and throw them on the field.
Automatic Micro Games:
- Instead of typical minigames that interrupt the game, Across the Valley automatically starts and stops a microgame when you perform an action.
- An example: Sowing out seeds will automatically start a “seeding” micro-game when the first seed hits the field. The better you distribute the seeds, the more plants grow. Once the seed basket is empty, the microgame finishes and your plants start growing.
Stay busy:
- 36 tasks (quests) guide you from the basics of seeding to going on a truffle hunt with your pigs.
- Infinite orders keep you busy, even after the main game.
Cozy mood:
- Carefully composed art style that lets you enter a comic-style world.
- A well balanced mix of hand-drawn 4k textures and programmed effects create the illusion of a hand-drawn VR world.

Glitchy. The game looks okay but things, especially the tools, glitch everywhere. The watering and seed planting is difficult to actually get 100, and I'm not understanding why my plants die after watering them. The game play is nice but repetitive. This game is to relax, so i don't expect challenge but there are only a few repetitive things you do daily, along with a mini game every few in game days. This makes the game boring quickly. There are orders and goals to work towards, so there are small goals to work towards, if you like a grind this is it. I wish there were more customization options too. I would like to be able to name my animals, and maybe more options for decorating the house in at least different colors. I seriously dislike the auto save feature, and that you have to sleep in order to save game play. Vr is something that you need to be able to put down and take breaks when you need to and i found i cant do that with this game. I paused the game for a little bit, but the game un-paused itself and kept running through days. Now my farm is completely ruined and i cant go back to a previous save or reload the game to when i last saved and has completely ruined it. …6 found this helpful
I really wanted to recommend this game as the developer did respond to my concerns but seemed to believe that their game didn't need any tweaking. There is just too much frustration with simple tasks to make this a relaxing and fun farming experience. In the end, it was the watering that killed the fun for me. When you get above 90% watering score and still lose plants is just frustrating. Especially when in some cases you end up with only 1 plant succeeding to grow out of the whole crop. It is just plain unfair and game breaking. The weeding is also very hard to do accurately as the hoe tends to either stick to the ground in the wrong place or drops from your grip randomly. Picking the hoe back up properly is also difficult at times. Even the act of seeding can be frustrating as it looks like you covered all the bare ground yet some of them just decide not to sprout. You kind of need to look at the pattern of the plants to get exactly where to sow and water correctly. The best advice I can give you is to water fairly fast and cover around the plants. I didn't like this game for it's repetitve gameplay, annoying difficulty, and you can only move to a couple of set locations like you're playing time crisis 2 it's fine for someone who's new to vr but the farming is kind of difficult if you don't want all your plants to die there isn't all that much to do outside of farming and ranching i would recommend you play harvest vr on the rift store if you have an oculus because the gameplay loop is more fun there's more to do and there's no weird movement system1 found this helpful

First, Check out my gameplay video here: https://youtu.be/JoIm4iraZtU Now, this is a gem of a VR game. If you enjoy the cozy, easy to pick up and play games. This is it. Everything is so relaxing. I love that the game really takes advantage of VR motions and controls. When planting seeds you actually toss handfuls of seeds on the plots. You use sheers to trim the wool off the sheep. You get to really milk a cow. It's all fantastic. I'll most likely be coming back to this game often to escape a bad day and relax. Totally worth it. The developers did an amazing job and this game deserves so much more recognition. Plus.... The baby sheep is ADORABLE. Love it.
Horrible, just horrible. All the tools are super glitchy. Moving around is not very intuitive. The standing/seated option needs a rework as if seated is selected you tower over some things. There is awkward angles when moving to the designated spots in the house. This needs a lot of work and surprised this game wasn't free. Even if free, no thanks.
